Hi, I’m Andrew, a UK based woodworker and maker with a particular interest in bespoke furniture and custom pieces. Self taught, these are my creations, ventures and where I document my journey🪚🔨
@@paulh4654 it works by clamping the board against the stops the board is flat against the underneath surface. The green knobs are the micro jig dovetail fixers that you can slide to adjust 👍🏻
@@jermainephillips5179 the principal is the same…attach a router to a piece of ply or similar that is 13.5” to the centre or adjust to the overall size you need 🤙🏻
dude dont, it doesnt work like this, it will take you million years with jig as it will be too short than too long than too short than too tight, than too loose, after million years great i did calibrated and you grab differnet wood, or differnet wood from other pile and lets do this again :D it takes longer than with chizle and its not even stronger than other methods, go watch video how to use half blind jig normal video not commercial wil be fun couple hours for one board isnt it fun? :D
@@SmiteDoctor this was one I managed to find 2nd hand online, just search dovetail jigs online and there’s quite a few that you have the choice of. The closest to this is the ‘harbour freight’ model I believe. As for @Arturas1244 comment yes it does take a while to set up but 100% worth it if you have lots of joints to batch out.
it takes forever to calibrate and for every board you must do it again and again, he didint showed pointless waste of try and error he made before i bet with chizle it takes 100 times faster than with jig.
@@Arturas1244 it did take a while to calibrate but once right it worked like a dream, it works out quicker and more accurate if you have lots of joints to cut such as drawer boxes 🤙🏻
Always nice work coming from you and your channel but the audio changes are great! Ryan Hawkins changes the audio of his tools too! Great job and really cool!
Presumably we are talking about hardwood? Because on pine this connection is associated with a rupture of the material. As for the comment, it is my right, and yours, to respond to the comment. Or, ignore it.
Presumably…yes it is. Although you could undertake a joint like this with pine in the right dimensions. You are correct it’s totally your choice to make absurd unhelpful comments. Hopefully you managed to see how this type of joint has worked very successfully in this application.
A completely incomprehensible video; when joining, you can see that the markings do not coincide with the centers of the holes. For what purpose is this video presented for viewing? Совершенно непонятное видео, при стыковке видно, что разметка не совпадает с центрами отверстий. С какой целью данное видео предъявлено для просмотра?
Obviously you’ve never come across a draw bore joint. The whole point of a draw bore joint is the part that moves is initially off centre so putting a dowel through pulls the joint together. Maybe do some research before commenting on things you don’t understand 😅🤷🏻♂️
Any idea why a Sheppach 56cc FPCS-5600 E1 saw might be cutting out? It runs for 10 mins then cuts out. It wasn't used for a good while since it was bought ( Aug 2021 )
Not sure buddy, I’m not a chainsaw expert. could be a number of things, incorrect fuel mix, Air filter clogged, choke setting, fuel flow. Hope you get it sorted 🤙🏻
Is it ? I suppose anything with a power tool may be considered dangerous but with thought through processes you reduce the risk - in this case using a clamp with the mitre gauge, a stop block on the fence, tape to help redirect bigger chips and of course appropriate PPE. How would you have done it ?
Hi! Great videos and build. I have my first on the way and love the idea of building their cot from scratch. Do you have the plans for this available / for sale?
Hi, sorry for the delayed reply! First of all congratulations! It’s certainly special getting to build your baby’s cot. I do have some plans that I used however drop me a message and we can discuss further. Cheers 🤙🏻
Thank you 🙏🏻 I removed it and used the table saw with the old throat plate on and the the zero insert peice clamped onto the tablesaw bed the opposite way around…next time I’d probably just handsaw the driving knife slot for safety 😅
I believe 1980’s could be classed as vintage nowadays (for power tools that is 😉) it’s a lovely little machine, a bit beat up but runs like a dream after a bit of restoration 👌🏻
