Definitely the Buescher made the better sound. Immediately I could hear the complex control that the Buescher gave to the musician. I love my 10M, but the control of this Buescher was impressive.
Man Jim, BEAUTIFUL sound/color on those! Very lyrical and airy. That 2nd sop had bags of complex power. I don't think a well set up Mark VI sop could hang with either of these.
Excellent?👍 Chinese saxophones are very good, the jazz snobs out there need to acknowledge this fact. I'm objective, in truth there isn't really much difference between my original Selmer and my Chinese copy. They say cheaper materials are used, but they don't take into consideration that these same materials are much cheaper in China than they are in for example France.
It is not the equal of a Mark VI or SBA . It is a nice more vintage kind of horn with a sweet tone but not the power of the Selmers. Pitch not as good as Selmer. Tone very nice and sweet.
@@ebaylistentomusic thanks for the info. I have an old soprano like that from around the turn of the last century. I didn't know that's what they were called.
