You could try the contract/ late fee system I mention in the video, but if that doesn’t work, it sounds like those clients need aren’t good ones and might have to be let go
I loved it!🥰 Thank you very much! I enjoyed everything: reasons for procrastinating, strategies and your own example!! There are some areas where I'm procrastinating, its true, but I don't know yet the reason: I will find out 😊 But your message is very important for my 15's daugther👌 I will translate it for her 😀 I liked particularly the message: "Even if you don't like it, you should do it" ❤️ (Sorry my english, i'm portuguese...) 🥰
Hello Katie, enjoying your podcasts! A couple suggestions if I may: 1. I see that you have your mic pointed the same way as from the moment you started the podcast, but I would double check where the "front" of the microphone is. From what I've seen online, you probably need to speak into it from the side, where the logo and knob is located. That will allow you to use less gain to get the same signal level, which in turn should produce less noise. 2. I've noticed that when listening to your podcast I need to crank my volume almost to the top, maybe something to look into (may be due to mic positioning as well) Listened on the "secrets of good management system" today, got some thoughts on how to improve my approach. I'm mostly using a notepad to list things for the day and group them by "important, must do if possible", "would be nice/random", and "dailies". Used this approach for a few years now, but what I lack is actually heaving deadlines on there (calendar, higher-up view of tasks for the week and month). So will be working on that in the near future.
Recently found your channel. Going through your podcast episodes, bit by bit, really valuable information! Also was thinking recently: I've studied for so many years, but no one really taught me how do I actually study/learn well. It was more like: here are your assignments -> do them, and everyone figures it out on their own. Wish it was part of curriculum in schools. Anyhow, you've got yourself a fan, great job on the videos!
Oh goodness, thank you so much! I really appreciate that feedback and the time it took you to write it. My genesis story is that I began my business and creating all of this content after teaching for years and being confronted by these skill gaps in our education system. It makes me so happy to know you find it valuable. Thank you! 🤓
Gosh I needed this😒. Although I do go through files I am still holding on to folders from back in 2019 when I did my dissertation. I loved writing my dissertation so it's sentimental, OK? LOL Like that dress that doesn't fit but you still have it. Ok, ok the folders will go.
Hi everyone, Just want to say Katie's planner is great. I already plan my week Sunday, but what I did I took her planner, saw her sample, and adapted it with my Google calendar. I was having problems with my planning spaced repetition, mind mapping, flashcards etc... Now everything is in front of me color coded so there are things that stand out. My personal time (Gym) is in there too. I may sound overboard BUT I know myself very well. 🌺🏵
What if u cannot do the similar tasks all in one sitting or one day because each task rakes alot of time For example my clients bring their paperwork to me in different intervals some monthly some quarterly. The similar task I need to do for each client is entry of their receipts but there is no way to get them done in one sitting because of the quantity of work. How would I apply batching
Great question. Batching works best when you consolidate a series of small to medium size tasks. If a task is really large and is going to take several hours, then you wouldn’t batch it with anything else because it’s already consuming a lot of time and resources itself. Some people apply batching to tasks that are completed in the same location… So that means that maybe you can batch a bunch of small tasks together that all require you to be at your computer, for example. Even if the tasks aren’t similar, they at least all require you to be in the same location (your computer).
