Thanks very much for the detailed review and discount code. We just completed installation of our gym flooring and are very pleased with the transaction and product.
I have the jammer arms for the G12, what I don`t like is that it has no sled to just move them up/down, you have to unscrew, get them out and reset, which takes too long.
Any issues with moisture accumulation underneath the mats / mold since doing this install? I’m thinking of the same roll but wondering if I should place a subfloor underneath like dmx 1-step and OSB before the rubber. Appreciate the vid!
You mean beyond the max capacity of the weight stack? Not really, at least not any straightforward way (maybe it's possible if you do some type of DIY setup, but it would be a bit complicated). I'd typically recommend using a Gym Pin to add weight plates, but the protective weight stack shrouding would get in the way. And there's no easy way to add band resistance either (I wish they included integrated mini band pegs on the stacks like they have on the G20).
Use the 2:1 when you want a heavier max weight and/or bigger increments between each weight setting. Use the 4:1 ratio when you want a lighter/smaller increments between weight settings.
Yes, and yes! You can read my review here: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-monster-g12-review/ (Note that they've actually improved some features since I originally wrote this e.g. it now has 1" hole spacing throughout)
Hello. May I ask if the leg curl and hammer arms are compatible with the V1 version of the G3? Maybe you answered this somewhere before. I apologize if I missed this info. I suffer from an eye disease that makes reading harder for me at times. Thank you.
Hi Sorry, to hear about the eye issue. Yes, the leg curl/extension will work with the V1 version of the G3. I did talk about the compatibility at the bottom part of this section of my G3 review: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-monster-g3-review/#Update_6_Optional_Upgrade_Kits_NewMore_Attachments
Thank you for the reply and consideration. Can I ask one more question? Is there a design elsewhere in the marketplace for Jammer Arms that fit both the 2" hole and 1" hole spacing? Much appreciated King of the Gym. 👍
@@AnomalyZero There is not, especially since the upright size is non-standard. You'd have to go to a custom fabriactor like Savage Strength to get something custom built: instagram.com/savagestrengthglobal/
Thank you. I was looking to see if there was a possibility in the first place; even if it would mean involving a custom design. Kudos for the recommendation. Enjoy your day.
I didn't off gas them outside or anything like that since it would've been impractical unrolling them outside, leaving them out, then lugging them inside the garage. I did however lay them flat in the gym for I believe 48 hours before installation. There was some smell, but it wasn't overwhelming at all for me. The odor that is there goes away pretty quickly as I recall. It might help to leave your garage door open during the day for a few days after installation to quicken the process.
Can tell if is possibile to do hip trust with this smith Machine? There is enoufgh rom like doing it wirh normal barbel with bench support? Or the barbell on smith stop too soon ?
I cant hip thrust w this smith machine unless you remove the safety attachment on the rods which i think i need lol so i ll just do hip thrust on a regular barbell
How were you able to cut the edges of the rolls so straight? I'm debating between rolls and tiles because I feel like tiles might be easier to cut straight, but then you end up with more seams like my current stall mats which drive me crazy.
If I'm 5'8 with 68 inches wingspan when seated on a bench (fully extended), will I be able to do a lat pulldown on a bench in this machine? What's the maximum height of its pulley? Thank you!
That's not me in this video, but the guy I think is about 5'10" - check out my review as I may have the pulley height in there: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-monster-g9-review/
Not sure off the top of my head, but check out my G3 review here, as I may have included the info there: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-monster-g3-review/ Also, the guy in this video (not me) is 6'2"
That info may be in my G12 review: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-monster-g12-review/ The G9 and G12 are the shortest units, but at 5'8" it may work, but it'll still be cutting it close. Note that you can always do pulldowns while seated on the floor, even if it's not ideal.
Thanks for the heads up. I just reached out to my contact at that company to fix the issue. Stay tuned -- I'll let you know when I hear back. I appreciate the support!
Alright, so my contact told me that (currently) the price of these 1/2" rubber rolls is one of their "Every Day Low Price!" items, meaning there's already a discount built into it. Meaning that no coupon codes can be added to further lower the price. If you still decide to buy, I'd greatly appreciate if you do so through my link -- shrsl.com/48vh6 -- as it helps make my reviews, articles, and videos possible!
UPDATE: Ok -- I learned of another solution. You can instead buy the 1/2" option from this other page: shrsl.com/4gqfs -- It's the exact same product as the 1/2" Mega Rubber Rolls. My KING coupon code for 30% off will work with this one. And when the code is used, it ends up saving you a little bit extra compared to the "Every Day Low Price!" price of the 1/2" Mega Rubber Rolls. Hope that helps.
This video isn't actually mine, the GymPin owner shared it with me years ago to include on here. The GymPin model I own is 10mm, but I haven't tested it on this particular machine.
I love this machine. I bought it without an upgrade kit. Now i really want the jammer arms, but you can't buy them on it's own. The upgrade kit is £899 in the UK, which is pricey. Do you know what specs the holes are? Can't seem to find them on google. Keep up the good videos 👍
The holes are 5/8" (possibly just a hair smaller). If you're in the UK and looking for just the jammer arms, I recommend reaching out to Savage Strength Equipment (instagram.com/savagestrengthglobal/) for a custom pair of jammer arms for your unit. He's based out of the UK and it'll likely be less expensive than the upgrade kit.
Is this good enough to not buy the dedicated lat pulldown machine for the g20 pro? In terms if it is really all that important for a more vertical pull down? It’s the sole reason I would purchase it.
The line of pull on the G20 (with the optional Lat/Row tower) is better than on the X20. However, as far as lat pulldowns on a functional trainer column go, you get a pretty-close-to-vertical line of pull on the X20 compared to what you'd get when using the functional trainer column on any of the G-Series units. Now, how much of a practical benefit is the difference in the line of pull between the G20 and X20... it's honestly not going to make a major difference because you can very much still get a good lat workout with the X20. But if you specifically are looking to get as vertical as possible (I know some people are sticklers on this), then the G20 w/ the lat/row station would be better. I feel like you're asking if the X20's line of pull is "good enough" and if I have to choose a strict yes or no, then I'll yes it's good enough in that regard.
I ordered this based on it's compatibility with the G15 Pro, but I cant seem to figure out how to get it to attach to the unit. The leg assembly seems to hook onto the sides of the silver columns, but on the G15 the pulley cables are mounted on the outsides of those same columns (unlike the G20, where they're situated behind the silver columns). As a result, I'm not sure how to attach this without clamping over the cables, which seems like a bad idea. Do you happen to know how this should be done?
Sorry for the delay in getting back! I'm having trouble visualizing what you're describing. I actually ran your question by my contact at Force USA and he suggested it would be easier for you to call in so that they can walk you through it over Facetime (or other video call). Wish I had an immediate answer, but I think that will get you the best result.
If you want to do to leg extensions and leg curls but don't want to buy a dedicated machine, then yes, this is the next best bet for your setup with the original G20.
@@king_of_the_gymwhat about the jammer arms on g20? Only can use the lower part of the rack, so only able to do exercise seated on the floor is it? Wondering if its worth it, cos in my country they only sell as a package (jammer arms, dips attachment, leg developer attachment) Thanks
@@calvinstefanus6915 Correct, you'll be limited to exercises where the attachment is lower on the rack for the original G20. It's certainly not ideal. If you could buy them separately, I wouldn't buy the jammer arms because they're so limiting. Now, since you can only buy them bundled, it's a question of how much you want the other 2 attachments to decide if it's worth the extra cost.
Never heard of it being used for that, but it's worth a shot. I looked online and read of rock climbers with hyperhidrosis using liquid chalk like this for climbing. This is the best brand I've found thus far with the longest-lasting formula. The length it lasts depends on what you're doing and how much you're sweating.
Are you asking about the dimensions for the G20 unit itself? If so, check out the dimensions section in my G20 review here: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-g20-review/#Force_USA_G20_Dimensions
This particular Leg Press attachment (which is the G3 V2 Leg Press attachment) attaches via pop-pins into holes in the Smith machine HOOKS (on the ends of the bar). The G3 V1 unit uses the G3 V1 Leg Press attachment, which attaches via pins into holes through the center of the Smith bar shaft. See my G3 review for info: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-monster-g3-review/
Check out my G12 in-depth review here: www.kingofthegym.com/force-usa-monster-g12-review/ - As you'll read in the article, it also has jammer arms available.
They don't look too short. As long as they're not worn a size too small there shouldn't be an issue. I suspect the problem people have with them is not too much male leg but male package over exposed.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Let me know if you have any questions about it. Feel free to ask me here on YT, or leave a comment on my G20 review article, or shoot me a message through the contact page on my site. Happy to help 👊💪
