are these similar to the "liquid crystals" found in LCDs?
@LearnwithBK

"liquid crystals" have molecular ordering that allows them to modulate light, providing image display functionality. so the working is a bit different then PC

Hi BK, how are you going? Could you explain me why do you delete the wetted wall in the multiphysics session? I have a doubt, if I'm analyzing macroscopic fluid flow of water and air, Do I need to use wetted walls?
@LearnwithBK
@LearnwithBK 2 дня назад
thanks for asking! In the two-phase flow simulation (water and air), the wetted wall boundary condition is typically used when you're interested in tracking the interface between phases, especially when surface tension or wall adhesion effects are critical. So accordingly you have to decide for your work.

Hello. How can I couple the temperature field or velocity field with pde? I have a pde (it is just a concentration equation) that contains both temperature field and velocity field.
@LearnwithBK
@LearnwithBK 2 дня назад
To couple temperature and velocity fields with a PDE, you'd typically use Navier-Stokes equations for the velocity field and the heat transfer equation for temperature. These can be coupled with a concentration equation using the convection-diffusion equation, where velocity advects the concentration. There maybe a video similar to the domain coming soon.. lets see

I am an Mtech student , doing my project on PCM cooling of Pv module . I dont know how to start . Is COMSOL better or Ansys for this? And what should be my approach while learning them . I have some reference research papers, which i wanna validate . Most of them used Ansys , and few used COMSOL.
@LearnwithBK

The choice of software depends on a lot of parameters. Like domain, research group constants, software compatibility, study type, license etc etc. Incase you want to discuss 1:1 you can book a video meeting. (bio.link/bibhatsu)

Is it possible to define a mass transfer between two phases at those points where the volume fraction is equal to 0.5? The difficulty of the problem here is that the points where the volume fraction is 0.5 are variable and not fixed. In COMSOL, to define a flux, the boundary must be constant. Thank you for your help.

Great video! I really appreciate the clear explanation. Can you please guide how to model water vapors emerging from the top into water, and how to calculate the heat and mass transfer rates. Any guidance or advice on how to approach this would be amazing! Thanks again for the valuable content! ❤
@LearnwithBK
@LearnwithBK 2 дня назад
you would typically need to set up a multiphysics model that couples fluid flow with heat and mass transfer. In COMSOL, for example, you can use the Heat Transfer Module along with the Transport of Diluted Species physics to handle the mass transfer of water vapor.
