I lived for 10 years in Saline Valley in the western section of Death Valley Park at an 100 year old mining camp. I ran 2 Westinghouse propane refrigerators from 1942. In the summer temperatures which would hit 135° both refrigerators made ice cubes in the freezer box. They each used about 2.5 gallons of propane per week. I also ha a 1943 ringer washing machine that originally had a gasoline motor. I replaced the original motor with a gas weed eater engine. That washing machine got my clothes cleaner than any modern washing machine.😊
If you ever get the chance, go along the levy in Mississippi on the river side. People used that side of the levy system all the way down the state, .to dump trash
