Thanks for this vid. Def sounds so much better. I've been researching this for a while, I think I'll go with this muffler too. What "symptoms" should I look out for to know that I need a rejet? Is it performance loss or backfiring, or both? How did you know it's running more lean than it should?
So yes there will be more backfiring (not awful, just more of a "pop" as you shift but I noticed that comes and goes. There's a slight loss of power as well. You can tell it's running lean because it feels more "hollow" as you accelerate. I don't know how to describe it but it feels like not as much power is being distributed as it was before
I also just want to point out that on their website that they say for these mufflers you "don't need to re-jet or change carb sizes", but my bike is running lean and I'll be taking it in to the local shop to get the carbs re-jetted. I'd highly recommend y'all do the same if y'all go this route (or with any after market exhaust). Other than that, it was a very easy 30 minute install, and it sounds great! With just the baffle in it is very loud so I wouldn't even take it out unless you want to sound like a Bell Huey charging down the highway
@@rtckid do you happen to know what jet size they used .... By the way have you tried flipping your risers around the opposite way ...its more fun to ride looks better and a free mod .🙂
