De takes way to long and honestly let’s be real u guys don’t buy de to save money cause then u buy brushes and creams and cost just as much by then I do use a brush though still
IMO the Rockwell on plate 3 is around the same efficiency as the Overlander, but for overall shave quality I liked the Overlander so much better that I ended up selling the Rockwell 6S. The Overlander has a LOT better performance especially against the grain on sensitive areas like under the nose. The Rockwell would leave a stubble vs the Overlander that left a much closer, smoother shave for me. I have yet to find a DE razor that even comes close to the Overlander, and I’ve tried literally over 3 dozen DE razors including a few over 400.00 USD. Many call it the GOATlander for good reason.

I will try the goat lander next after that info you provided. I was worried it may be too inefficient but sounds like it’s fantastic. Do you have the aluminum or brass one?
My favorite blades are the Gillette Proglide and Gillette Skinguard cartridges. I never, ever worry about cutting myself and I get the perfect smoothest and closest shave ever with absolutely no irritation.
I have to comment even though this video is from a year ago. Løthur Black is definitely one of my favorite scents and my wife calls it a perfect date night scent.

I just found the Fougere scent in Barrister and Mann and I'm stoked. I'm actually in love with the Wet Shaving Products version but the price doubled so I won't purchase that. I Always pair the Fougere with the Irish Moose but I'm ordering B&M's soap today. I used to do videos named "Frameback Friday" but during the lock down I clippered my thick hair down then shave the front with a straight razor...take care man..
My two favorite razors: Henson Ti22 +++ and Karve Overlander nickel plated brass. They are both efficient and you can shave daily with them. Great video !
hi, among carbon razor & overlander which one did u find smooth specially against upper lips (atg) ? which one would be your auto pilot & daily driver ?
If I am daily shaving the Overlander is probably slightly smoother than the Carbon. I actually do prefer the Carbon over the Overlander. The Carbon Ti has been my daily shaver for quite sometime now. I have just grown to love the shaves I get from the Carbon.
That is a hard one to decide. They both work great! If I had to decide, I would probably choose the GC 0.84. I just get a slightly closer shave with it lately.
With the head geometry being different for both razors, it is a difficult decision to make. I would say the Overlander has the "feel" of CB "B" plate, but the efficiency of the CB "D" plate.
As I mentioned I’m going back through all the videos and I love this one because Extro is such a great soap. I feel for you talking about the hours you put in. I was an Ostomy Nurse for 30 years.
I just re watched this and you can see that the chin weepers are from a breakout under the beard. That happens to me when ever I’ve shaved my beard or goatee
The Overlander beats the 6S and every other DE razor I’ve tried, hands down. It has an amazing ability to shave super close without irritation, especially ATG. While the 6S and Hensons shave ok, they just don’t have quite the ability to shave as well…. I found they both leave me with a stubble under the nose while the Overlander never does. Nice to see an honest review here…. Other channels on RU-vid will hype up inferior razors because they’re posting affiliate links and all they care about is getting a cut of the sale… I found that the Aluminum Overlander shaves the best of all versions, as the finish on it is the smoothest one they make. It’s also the least expensive version. Highly recommended.
Sounds really interesting I like a variety of types of fragrances, but aquatics might be my favorite class. Think my favorite aquatic fragrance(maybe slightly gourmand?) is paa the beach. I also like goodfellas abysso and stirling deep blue sea.

Excellent review as always! I was curious, when you said you are winnowing down your collection of soap to the fewer ones that you feel check all the boxes, what the others are for you. Apart from GN what would you say are the top notch artisans?
Currently Løthur, A&E, MacDuffs, Barrister and Mann, 345, and Caties Bubbles. I have a few others that I have kept for one reason or another but those are definitely my favorite brands currently. Everything else is getting PIFd.

And 2 examples of why Edmonton is the Canadian mecca of wetshaving hahaha. Its such a good scent IMO, earthy/foresty/oceany/cologney even on the dry down. Great shave!
GN has been knocking it out of the park with these releases!! I bought a sample of this and man it's intoxicating for sure. I'm really on the fence because I'm trying not to buy any new soaps till I kill a tub but this one is amazing.
