This interview with Tammy goes back a long time. She was really young and pretty here. Now she is with the Steel Drivers middle age and pretty. She is an excellent musician
Tahsnks for posting these great old broadcasts! The age math seems a little off on them, he wasn't 13, if the 1996 broadcast date is right. He was evidently born in Feb 1981.
That was really enjoyable, and great playing! He wasn't 13, though, must've been 14 or more likely 15 (if the 1996 broadcast date is right). He was born in Feb 1981 (according to Wikipedia and an interview sourced there). The album shown, "Leading Off" did come out when he was 13, though.
He is now around 40, and he is probably the best mandolin player on the planet, with two of the best string bands around, Nickel Creek and Punch Brothers, both more ‘Newgrass’ than Bluegrass.
NOBODY wants to listen to this except these guys' families - and half of them don't want to listen to it either. It's like screeching cats trapped under a pickup truck. Give me a break, throttle junkie.
I've had very limited exposure to Bluegrass and thought I had heard the limits of what the best players could do and believe me I was satisfied but Mr. Cleveland blew me away.Am I wrong to ask if he's raising the bar as far as fiddle players go? I mean I've heard Sally Gooden before but this was ridiculous.Big props to the other musicians too.
Did it make noise when you where slowing down at all my Cummins is having that where it does it when your slitly rolling or slowing down but when your at a stop it doesn’t make that noise.
No, Sara would have been 12 then, I think. That was session musician and country fiddler Wanda Vick. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R-BRu9Qs4n0.html
