Just in case anyone is wondering, the Scottish accent thing wasn't necessary. The band was playing "Scotland the Brave". The point of the bagpipes was to scare the daylights out of the enemy. Troops spent hours marching and practicing these drills. Infantry carried a basic kit on their back and a Lee Enfield rifle. The British treated Canadian troops and other "colonials" as cannon fodder to soften up "the enemy" so the British troops could save the day. Cigarettes were part of rations.Smoking was commonplace and besides, long term health wasn't a primary concern. My father enlisted when he was about 22. Went from a private to Lt. Col. in Intelligence in less than 3 years!
Sgt. Bagradian, played by Jay Lawrence doing a Hitler impersonation. He also did Cary Grant, James Cagney, Clark Gable and Ronald Coleman in this film. ❤
Reminder the Canadians are the only people in history to fight a war that was declared a stand still against the Americans and their fighting men have, so long as we've had a parallel history, been among the only ones in the world in our weight class consistently.
Give the gentleman a double that way he won't feel ah ting 😅😂,❤get going, you'd like to see that again it's hard to catch the first time 😮😅. Cut it out. 😅
