I'm have bone on bone HIP Arthrist and I'm being scheduled for HIP Surgery. I lost a lot of range of motion and have issues with walking, putting on soxs and shoes etc. However, my pain is always on the outer side of hips not groin area. The surgeon will be using an anterior approach for the HIP Surgery but I'm wondering if I have HIP Bursitis and if so if it can be fixed at the same time as the hip surgery.
I had hip labrum tear repair, bursectomy of two bursas and ITB released anthroscopically. Just 4 small holes why did you need to open this person wide open. I can’t imagine the pain when they wake up cause just the small holes hurt so bad.
I had a cortisone injection in my knee two months ago and it really helped. Some have told me, that if cortisone helped, the hyaluronic acid injection will help much better and last longer. True?

Can take up to a week to work and last for few months . However the response to the injection is heavily dependent on the underlying pathology- if the condition is severe the injection may not work at all .

Ive had a few over the years and the needles r definitely longer and the injection is painful. Yes they help for few weeks but needle is a lot longer and hurts like mad

Is there any signficiant difference between this method and the infrapatellar route? Or is either route acceptable for giving, example corticosteroid injection?

I just had mine today. It started hurting in just 11/2 hrs. It was supposed to be numb for 5 hrs. I did ice it. Did your shot ever kick in? Mine is for a meniscus tear, Baker's cyst, loose bodies, bone bruise & tissue edema. Don't know if it will work for that. If not, surgery for me. So how are you doing?
