This channel will be focused on raising my family, particularly my two boys, in the wide open country of Wyoming. We love to hunt, fish and enjoy all outdoor activities. My boys are young so I’m trying to install the passion for these activities in them, and this channel will be dedicated to that journey. In addition to showing my kids the ropes of how to hunt and fish, we might be camping, hiking, riding, whatever it is that allows me to teach my kids life and outdoor skills.
Nice spread you got there. I'll be moving up to Laramie next year from CO. I'm done with this state lol. At least you weren't trying to dial that sight in winter weather.
I have the same sight. I originally purchased the single pin but sold it and purchased the 3 pin. Love it! I also purchased the sun shade from CBE which gives the scope a little better picture in bright light.
@@4Chewnings oh alright was wandering that alot nice antlers found i wish they were more strict on early shed hunters where i am gets hit early every year.
@@4Chewnings When's the next one going to drop? Your hunt video's are always good. And do you have the ability to see what # sub I was for you? I bet I was one of the first subs.
Looks like you caught a wolf working those elk. At 5:45 you can see it running with the elk along the bottom of the herd partially covered by that tree. Then at 5:54 it changes direction goes backwards then down. Very cool! You didnt mention it, at least that I caught, so i thought id point it out.
Nice first bull. I'm guessing that was Thanksgiving week youth only week and youth are only ones who can kill a bull. Awesome lots of area to cover out there for sure.
If I'm not carrying any trail cameras to mount, this pack is okay. I cannot imagine packing any meat out. Everything is long and deep. Once you stuff a 3 litre camel back reservoir in, the pack becomes so thin you can't fit much in there, only very small things. To get around this, I tried to just carry a water bottle on the side. The side pockets are too short. I'm not sure what they had in mind for putting in there. Basically, if you want to scout without hanging trail cams, you can carry some water and snacks, maybe a folding saw. I see that this is 3 years old, what do you think of it now? I just basically bought the wrong pack and should've gotten the Eberlestock X2, and am now looking at the Mystery Ranch Pintler. I need to pack out meat, but also carry camera gear, trail cams, and saddle setup. The size of the Diablo Dos fooled me.
True, it's not good for packing meat. What I do is take a small game bag in and generally only pack out a bag of meat (backstrap) or front leg and just suffer the trip. Then switch packs for the rest. I still love the pack. I use a msr water bladder with barely 1 liter of water. I never drink more than that so why pack more. I am intrigued by the mrk series of packs but don't have one.
Disgraceful. This is not training youth for tracking, hunting and preparing game kill for consumption. This is desensitizing to death. Absolutely shameful, and damaging to the kids. This is not huntng. This is backyard killing.
Awesome hunt! Thinking about applying for this tag myself. How many trips did it take to pack out? The people I’ve talked to make it sound like you need to hire someone or have a team of 5 guys to pack out a Bison in January.
We got this out on 1 trip with a jet sled. But it was not easy. We had 3 of us cutting it up. We dragged with 4 on the sled and got it to the road with my truck. Lots of sweat.
They jerked you all around!! That's messed up for a $325 sight at that time. 30 then 60 & the red guage in between 30 & 60 & that # is your blk tape)!!!!
Love your videos man! I truly appreciate the average joe style you have with ur content. Keep on keepin on. But for the love of god you almost gave me a panic attack when you drew back without and arrow nocked!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
I guess different people judge weight differently. In the Army I carried 55 lbs every day of deployment. If you train for things they really aren't an issue.
Oh man. So much footage but this season has been so hard. Heat and allergies, bowhunting heartbreak, so many close calls. Mule deer hunting right now, more near misses. Just not closing the deal.
I mean it’s a great bow for beginners. I have the bow and am 16 so my bow is maxed out at 70 pounds but I quickly found out hunting isn’t my game 😂will be buying a target bow as soon as I have the money j need to start a journey of target shooting. Also gonna probably shoot 60 pounds since there’s no point to pull 70
exactly, i shoot a bowtech and i thought it was cool to max out the poundage. Then i got smart and realized its easier and smoother to pull a few less pounds and sacrifice a few fps. Just practice and be accurate.
I had a good laugh listening to this. Started installing my meat shelf for the first time while listening and beat you by an easy 5 minutes even taking a drink every time you said "lashey". Was very funny when you finally got the plyers going. Good videos man and thanks for putting them out there.
