Just an average guy with interests in burning metal, muscle cars, rat rods, shooting sports (I.D.P.A, 3 Gun, Action Shooting) AR-15 / AR-10 Build's and accessories, and lots and lots of shameless shenanigans. I'm currently about to start the first of two planned builds starting with a very low budget entry level 3gun rifle build that will be tested & reviewed to see what works for budget money to get a guy (or gal) started. the Second will be more refined 3gun rifle with budget in mind but not restricting the build. I will do reviews and how-to' while the projects unfold. Budget=cheap-ass chit? No, that's not how I roll; I believe in the BIG3, quality, consistent functionality, and durability. A product must meet all of these in order to be of good use. After all else, it's in the operators hands. I currently work in Product testing, (not related) taking products to their failure point; working with design engineers until they can withstand the harshest conditions.
@@12pastmidnight66 I read online that muriatic acid can cause rust to form. Have you had any issues with rusting on your project ?? I may need to add an extra step and neutralize with baking soda and water before painting .
@@andyanderson7712 I have seen some flash rust with steel parts if left in a wet area. for steel I will give a good rinse and a final clean with acetone or brakeclean to get all the water out of the pores.
not having to bake it, I've shot alot of 3gun with guys thrashing on their rifles and cerakote wears off the same way. I will agree its slightly tougher, but not by much. with this acid washing procedure I've found the base coats to be tough as nails. 've gotten scratches in the top coats on muptl colors but have yet to notice a base coming off.
Thank you for the test unfortunately the movement of the lens was to rapid in most instances except for a few as you were panning left or right to properly assess the clarity of the night vision
Thanks for posting the video and showing your work. I think you went into a stencil rage, though. In my opinion, your stencils were chaotic in shape and placement and by the time you were done the gun looked like a painters apron at Michael's. Do better my friend. Do better. Fewer stencils and a better plan for their placement. Liked and subbed anyway.
@@alanphillips1344 I've done a few things in the past, but the best I've found is nothing at all. aside from a good cleaning with acetone. at least on magpul plastics. I had issues with a KAK brace and the oil that is in the plastic. IDK what or why or how but i found the brace to "weep" oil once coated causing it to lift. must be the type of plastic?
You have 28x9-14 on the front. Do you have same on rear or 10 or 11 wide rear. I only see that the bronze 4x110 only come in 5+2 and +10 mm. I ask because I would be putting 11 wide on rear and 9 on the front using these equal width wheels. I already have the Bighorn tires. Just wondering if the rear would be to taller due to equal width.
Ok. Stupid question. How hard was it to remove those fsb taper pins? Been trying to remove mine for almost a week. These fuckers won't budge and I know I'm knocking it from the right side. I even contacted PSA
Looks good. I'm an artist but have never tried airbrush. Is it very hard to learn? I'd like to duracoat my AR with a jungle tiger stripe pattern. I'm also thinking about airbrushing motorcycle tanks as a side hustle.
It's easier than a rattle can whel laying down solid colors. A lot more control over volume. I don't do super detail work with mine on the regular but have tried some artsy stuff and had fun with it.
I’m gonna sound like an asshole, but , why not just buy a railed upper in the first place it’s only 50 bucks more on the PSA website 😂 great ingenuity though I must say if you needed to do this for some reason I guess.
At the time low pro gas blocks were more than the 8bucks you can find them for today. I actually did some heat testing on this profile and found it dissipated heat much better then a steel low pro. It was a fun experiment, and still have it. Probably put 1,500 rounds through it with no issues. Good times
No secrets at all, just covering my ass from people telling me I'm using the wrong stuff or finding a similar product, having a bad time and blaming me. In fact if you watch all 3 videos I believe I dropped a clue or 2 about the manufacturer.
@@12pastmidnight66 Simple Green Industrial degreaser. It's cool.. cats been out the bag for a while. What other folks chose to complain about, I wouldn't let that bother me bro..its the internet after all lol. Do it for the noobs and all the other people that are gonna F this up the very 1st time.. or 2. Great series btw
Please save me a few bucks. I will start my 5th duracoat job soon and the last 4 scuffing every part with sand paper was a long and drawn out process. I will say that all 4 spray jobs still look fantastic and I don't baby my tools. I was going to say Simple Green till you said it actually etched the metal. If it works for you it will work for me I'm sure lol. ??Please!
I'm not sure I'd have to go back and look it would depend on the model you buy, to be honest. This one just ran LEDs to the diferent compartments and overhead lights.
Excellent, I was wondering if I could use my 18v batteries to run the 12v pump and lights in my motorhome.. The solar isn’t changing this time of year… I’ve just bought the connector and drop down from eBay.. Thank you for the video!!!
I just tried looking them up and Amazon doesnt sell them anymore. But if you search LED Pods, DJI 4X4 2Pcs 5'' 168W Quad Row LED Those look like the same size
No, I just had a hook pinned to that little bar for quick strapping down when it was cold. I could just plop the strap in it quick and ratchet it down rather then using 2 or running the strap through.
I will try to find the part numbers they were Amazon finds. The make 2 sizes though, these are the wider ones that fill the holes and are closer to the OEM sized light. Then it's just a cutting wires and splicing in, or like I did and put some Deutch connectors on so you can still remove the bumper easily.
Thanks for your video I think it'll help a lot for what I'm trying to do on my bicycle. I couldn't tell from the video but it looked like you had a fuse in there too. Great job on your project hope it worked out good for you.
This video was very helpful, but with using this winch (champion 13004) if you use the FKI 100650 mount it will shift the winch to the right side of the machine and you wont have to cut the hole in the body, your hand will fit in between the knob and the body. thanks for the video it helped me a lot.
