Xu Xin is cool and we love him, but he is wrong here ! Serving with the same motion and contacting the ball on the same part of the motion cannot produce backspin and topspin, its not possible. So his so called "topspin" when he hits the ball on the upper part of the rubber is rather no spin so the opponents push with give a high ball, but its in fact just much less backspin and not topspin !
@@waaaintresting913 not if the racket angle stays the same, then its literally the same movement and doesnt matter the only difference is that the ball rolls over much less rubber and gets much less spin, you can see it in the video too when the guy pushes it goes up just like when u push an empty ball, not as much as when u push a topspin ball if he would wanted to show the spin for real he woulda recieved it with a straight racket not moving it like a returnboard
@@Blackain66 the racket is hold side ways so it garutees sidespin dude xu xin legit went through 20 years of Chinese national team training and competitive play his not wrong, his not explaining a hard concept my guy
@@waaaintresting913 man noone doubted there is sidespin on his hook serve bro, ofc it is sidespin but there is never side-topspin like he mentioned but only side-backspin and pure sidespin, no topspin
i think that could be called serve fauld by some referees....yeah ofc there are a lot of methods to use body not too much and giving fake feelings to opponent but you know those are really hard to master and need massively sensitive and accurate feelings of controling the ball conclusion: 1. use your upper body after contacting ball not too much 2. give your arm natural following motion to make them hard to receive 3. serve is all about psychological and mental battle like chess
Thank you! I thought of myself as being the ugly duckling with my two bounce serves among the three and more bouncers, spinners and tricksters. Thanks to Jike, now I can fully embrace my swan-ness.
Love your channel, thanks. if this technigue structure applies for for looping aganist backspin..How does the strucure changes for regular topsin against block ?
This is very true, you can see the big difference in power when you make the relax stance plus forward followthrough on your shots. China's fundamentals are perfect for attacking players.
I loved your series with fang bo! But where are the videos with him? A few days ago they were still there but now not anymore. That's sad, because I really want to watch them several times. Hopefuly you can help me!
I have the same question. But no one is answering this. What does 2 bounce mean?? First bounce on the server's side and then one bounce on the receiver's side???? But isn't that considered a long serve which can easily be attacked because it drops off the end of the table?? Please answer. Thanks.
@@Brezinski1000 obviously he means 2 bounces on the receivers side, this makes sure they can't attack easily but it's not short enough to push short again easily.
