I’m James, a filmmaker with a passion for travel, hiking and outdoors adventures. Back in October 2022, me and my partner Amy quit our jobs to travel for a year. Join us as we embark on the biggest adventure of our lives!
I can only speak from experience doing it in April-May, but I’ve heard both are just as good, but April-May is when all the mountaineers are there to summit so it’s a bit busier. Thanks for watching 🙏
Great video 👍🏼 really enjoyed watching it. My wife and I have just finished planning this for April next year! We plan on stopping at a few of the same places you guys did so good to see them on your video. Liked and subscribed 👏
Love from Germany. I am planning to do this trek in October. Really enjoyed your journey. I am so much excited about October. Very helpful and obviously this one motivate me. Thank you so much. Looking forward to see you.
@@JamesBTravel Well that's simply great to know.. I'm a vegan too!! So it was extra special seeing how you both were able to fuel up on your travels! I'm now thinking about simple curries I can also easily make on such trips. Love your videos!
Just got back home from my trip. Did it in 5 days. Your video is nice because I was rushing past all these places you got to spend more time in. For example I did all of Loch Lomond in one day so had no time to stop and explore like you did.
Did it 3 years ago in July, it was scorching and I was knackered. Great day though. I still have Ben Narnian to do, it's on my list which keeps getting longer and I'm no spring chicken anymore lol.
The video is so well done, and the scenery is just stunning! I want to go in August, debating whether to go this route or the summit. You earned a subscriber, you should have much more
Hi James - now that it's been a few months since your trip, on reflection which trip out to the Great Barrier Reef do you remember more deeply? Ocean Safari from the Daintree or the full day trip from Cairns? I've done the full day ones 3 times but I'm taking my extended family who are from the UK and they will only be able to afford either the Ocean Safari or the full day from Cairns. The Ocean Safari one looks really special but I haven't experienced it first hand so it's hard to choose for other people!
Hi Lee, it’s the Ocean Safari from Daintree I remember most fondly, 100%. The reef is much closer to the surface (only about a meter), so you can get much closer to it without having to swim down. It also gets a lot more sunlight, so you can see all the colours more clearly. Plus, it’s only 20 mins from the shore (compared to hours from Cairns). If I could only do one again, I’d definitely go from Daintree. Hope you and the family enjoy!
I did it long ago and if I could offer some advice - if you have time walk in from Jiri. You will acclimatize better .Up and down three mountains then left and follow the Khumbu Valley. I only had a pack and easy to do alone and stay each night in guest houses along the way.namaste.
My wife and I just returned from Scotland a couple days ago, and spent 4 days in Islay. One of the most beautiful places I've been to if youre into landscapes and small town vibes. What made it more magical was seeing the northern lights where we were staying (glamping spot next to Lagavulin). I'm not sure if you had a chance to eat at Balaclava, but man their lamb and steak were just perfection. Youre right about the whisky tasting too, I got carried away and bought a few bottles....not cheap but worth it to take home as they are exclusive only to Scotland (maybe just within the distillery)
Thanks for your response James. You and your partner seemed to do pretty well without them, even with heavier backpacks that I carried. In fact few hikers I met used them, but I’m a good deal older than you and as well as taking strain off the legs they saved me from many, but not all, nasty falls. Incidentally, I don’t know whether you’ve done more of the path since your video, but I think the stretch from St Ives to Portcurno is probably the best part of it.
Great video & narrating James. It was good to see this as our son Aran is currently doing the EBC trek. We can follow him along too ! Thanks for sharing this x
Wow! Such a beautiful, beautiful place! What a blessing it is that you took this time to explore the world! You will never regret this! Really been enjoying you and Amy’s adventure.
Absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list. Thank you
