The opening for this one was comparable to the New Tom Ford Eau de Ombré Leather. The amber reaaaaaally comes through. I am a huge fan of fragrances with amber and are more subtle and people can only smell on you when they are closer to you. I don’t like smelling someone when they walk by. This one has more of a earthy dry down then the New Tom Ford but it is really nice, definitely my cup of tea. I agree it smells closer to the Yellow Dream.
I haven’t watched a Gents Scents video lately and holy cow, talk about falling off… at least editing-wise. You hiring college students that need a college credit for editing videos or something??
6:54 Did a Barcode Lookup on that UPC. According to the info registered, Al Haramain *IS* in fact the manufacturer. (The UPC of the box that says Al Haramain comes up with Al Haramain as the listed mfg as well.) The first part of the UPC code - the manufacturer number - is different between the two boxes, but it's not unheard of for one mfg to have more than one ID #. A counterfeit could simply copy a real Al Haramain UPC, but I don't think that's the case here, as the name tied to the UPC is "Al Haramain Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu" ie it matches the name that's supposedly 'not' an Al Haramain product name.
For me when I first smelled it after I bought a bottle and it came in I thought it had a similar vibe or to me it smelled very similar to dolce & Gabbana light blue forever or Italian love with all that rindiness off the top of this fragrance and all that citrus I don't get Aventus at all in this fragrance
Picked up the Polo Blue Parfum at the start of the year after having the EDT for the longest time. The positive attention I got with the EDT, coupled with the fact I'm older now (18 vs 27), made me want to upgrade to the Parfum and I have been rocking it ever since!! Love the clean scent with the woody notes, and it's been an amazing wear whether its social settings, dates, work, etc.
Watching this back again further into my collection and I can confidently add to this list, Amouage memoir man. Absolute 10/10, wouldn't change a thing, type of fragrance for me
The Most Wanted is a tough choice, because the Intense version is a lot more versatile and I could see it being worn more often, but I like the smell of the Parfum more.
Hey, wait. I'm age 75. Did I hear you identify age 35 as the cut-off for "older gentlemen"? My grandsons are approaching that age. Lol. I guess that I'm stuck with Old Spice, English Leather, Hai Karate, Brut, Aramis, Canoe, and Polo, no?
Once asked the clerk if they still had Dior Homme Parfum and they showed me "Yeah here are the Dior parfums" and I was like "Yeah I mean parfum as in concentration" and she asked another clerk who told me "Yeah, these are all the Dior parfums". I responded "I get it, you don't have it!"
I just picked up Polo Blue Parfum, and Ash's assessment is on point - the opening starts out like it's gonna have some power, but really, it performs in the 5-7 hour range with mild projection. It's quite pink pepper dominant, and that note carries all the way through for me. It has a nice masculine, classy touch to it though, and all of those attributes add up to it being a great office and dumb-reach kind of cologne.
been in love with both Coach New York and La Nuit de L Homme original independently, however mixing them together has been an absolute game changer. They’re both light enough to layer without it becoming overwhelming. They both receive excellent feedback by themselves, been a compliment monster when put together :)
