Hey everyone, i have been repairing electronics since 2010. It all started when the iPhone 4 came out. That phone was notorious for breaking especially the BACK. People also knew how easy and simple it was to replace the back. I started working on family and friends devices first. In 2011 i got a job at small electronics repair shop. I've worked there for more then 5 years, and it's where i learned most of my skills. I decided to take the leap of faith and open my own repair store in 2019 which is called willfixit. The willfixit name comes from my name William - and i added fixit at the end to get creative. I unfortunately never documented any of my work on camera, but now i realize how important it is. I decided it's never too late to start. I started youtube in 2020, and will continue to document everything i do now so you guys can see, and as be an inspiration to the next

Glad to see it’s working for you, did these parts come out of a locked phone? Like not marked lost/stolen but just a phone paired with an iCloud. I have an iPhone 12 mini and I honestly don’t know what to expect when I receive it’s new motherboard I ordered from china.
They did not, they came out of a phone that had iCloud off. I have battery health and true tone, so all functions work. Just messages are still there. I’m not sure, you will have to try and see! Most people can’t seem to configure parts from iCloud phones
hey man. thanks for the video. I wanted to ask you this I'd like to update my macOS since I still have Monterey, I bypassed once before but im Little worried that if i install the laster version of OS i might not able to bypass or lose everything on my Mac. Should i update???

I have a 'rear camera' changed on an iphone 14 pro and when I am trying to finish repair now, it says 'no objects found' and times out in just a few seconds and then proceeds with restarting the phone. However, it says the rear camera is a genuine apple part. Is this something that will be fixed by apple or should I keep trying again ?
Bro 15 days back i changed my 15 pro max display in a 3rd party shop and they also replaced the chip my old display to the new display. Still the display error will occur on my phone!?. Should I update to ios 18?

Tried 2 other similar sticks besides the ones you see in the video before all of this, and those didn’t work. I’m surprised this one worked. 4 memory sticks didn’t work
Faulty motherboard. Look at Tech Source videos. He had a problem with the same MB, and explains more for the error. Maybe it`s the same as your problem. And I am not sure for the name of the video.
Im using 13pro max with changed display,battery and camera from another phone. Its original but still its unknown part and also I don’t have the iCloud id or password of that phone which I took parts. So is there any issue if i update to ios18? Can i finish the repair? Or just let it be message and use normally like now?
@@willfix1t had an issue very similar to this on my gfs pc, except sometimes it would post, other times it’d through a code, ram changed it but wasn’t a perfect solution, cheap MSI motherboard
@@willfix1t yes, but I don’t know if it was an original part or a third party. So is it safe to update to ios 18? I have an iphone 12. I’m just worried that my phone will get locked
@@willfix1t yeah cz my battery is replaced but it’s shows unknown part and the performance from last 15 month is so good so I think is an genuine battery with no activation , my phone never restarted itself or heat or drain battery
iOS 18 is not fully out yet, but it will come out today or tomorrow i think. Check and let me know i’m curious for iPhone XS. I don’t think it will but maybe there’s a small chance
@@willfix1t Yes, I have the original sensor. Just the LCD has been replaced, but it is not genuine Apple, but it is the original LCD taken from another iPhone 13. Is it ok?
@@willfix1t dang bro im sure i can figure it out but the bootable flashdrive part and all that confuses me do a video showing you downloading it to the drive etc as a prequel to this
I haven’t tried the lidar but that would be an interesting piece to test since not a lot of people in the industry know that’s the that’s it’s actually paired to the phone, the piece never fails from experience but i’ll test it and see. Love your channel btw!
I also got the same error as the video on an iphone 13 pro max without the original lidar sensor. When I try to calibrate the camera on an iphone 12 pro max with original lidar sensor I manage to enter in the calibration process but it alwais fails with the message “no object detected”. I am hoping the official version will fix this
I have the same problem. And yes, I changed original lidar scanner. However, I also changed the housing with a new rear glass, which seems to me that it tries to calibrate the back camera but he cant. Could it be the rear glass To be of poor quality?

Hello!! Thank you for ur video! My laptop is currently blocked by remote management However I have 2 acc. Only the first main one is blocked and the 2 acc is available! So what would u recommend me to do😭😭 all my file is still in the main acc and yet it’s stuck in the page that I can go back to desktop 😭

And the only thing I changed is I updated the software to Sonoma 14.6.1 ! So my guess is that this was a stolen laptop and got resell.( my ex bought it for me) And I saw somewhere saying we can no longer update so I’m assuming that’s why now all of a sudden that my laptop is locked after many years of use….. questions tho I’d sooo appreciate it if u can help me😭😭😭 So i have 2 acc in MacBook. The main one i use is locked now by remote management. However, somehow, the second acc is still available! ( I haven’t connected it to WiFi maybe that’s why? Or it’s not related I can connect to wifi? Thank u if you can kindly help me out😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Btw the model is A1990
You can put your mac in target disk mode. You can use a thunderbolt cable to connect your mac to another mac. Then you can access your info that way and save whatever you need to save
