@@ready4theroad71 if it’s a rear wheel drive vehicle, I do not put it in neutral and if the steering wheel locks, I still put a seatbelt through it and lock it
@@derick_401 ya i got you and maybe this car shouldnt even be towed on a wheel lift! Thats how i feel about it but as you know your get what you pay for! These dealers and auctions want it cheap and fast! I never damaged a low car i towed this way im as careful as i can be! I never want to damage a customers car or mine
You are a life saver! My truck locked in reverse Friday after work and I had camping plans. I turned my truck off when it was still in reverse and couldn't start it. Once I released it I was able to move back into park so I can start it.
I am 73 years old. I drove sling Tow truck from 1969 to 1976 for a AAA contractor. Man. I absolutely love your truck dude. Best repo truck in USA 😂. That is exactly what I want. I have a friend here in Hawaii that is 74 & still drives one. It does not have the hydraulic bars on the stinger. He has to put them on by hand . At his age he needs what you have. Cool 😎 video bradda . I have a job offer driving an old wheel lift in Hilo. I got inspired by your video. I miss it. 😊
The pin the locks the wheel, isn't very big. So it's useful if the wheel locks to turn it back to accessory and it drives it deeper. But next time, GET A BUNGEECORD. Works better. And doesn't harm the seat belt if anything goes wrong.
I need to tow a rwd car on a dolly...I've pulled a lot of trailers but never a car backwards....if the steering wheel is locked plus the seatbelt locked in through the steering wheel....is that REAL safe? Hitting a pot hole or something can't break the steering lock? Having it weighted to the back like that won't make it fishtail? I'm nervous that it won't be safe lol. I need to pull it like 300 miles.
I think you’ll be good. I never had that issue when it’s locked or tied down. When I forgot to check once it almost got bad cuz them tires turn the car will flip around
Ok might be towing a 2005 rWd nissan titan tomorrow night so I have to put the truck on the dolly with the back tires on the dolly?? And put it on neutral??
I wish you guys where hiring I have 14+ years experience on a flatbed and few months on a slef loader and I’m also working on my CDL for heavy duty towing
