Vielen Dank !
That song was sung by the Finns while Finland was about to be ruled by Russia, which rule never happened, given the stubborn attitude of the Finns toward foreign aggressors.
Are you sure about that? Have you ever heard about the Finish Duchy of Finland as a constituent part of the Russian Empire? Actually that happened from 1809 to 1917. Nearer our days, Finns faught bravely during the Finnish - Russian winter war in 1940 but ended, as an aftermath of the WWII, to relinquish a vast amount of their territory to the Russians. So, even though Finns are stubborn and heroic they're today landlords of half of their pre -1809 land. But history goes in spirals. So.... enjoy the show of the history. Now back to music: in my view this rendition is one of the kind Germans should never brag about. Sorry.

Love the sound of an all male choir...beautiful voices singing a wonderful arrangement! After reading the title, I didn't expect to hear English. Well done!!
