1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
...Thanks TeChi...From the mid 1950's thru the 1960's to 1970, I walked, bicycled and then drove these streets of my old neighborhood and I enjoyed it more than ever today...neighborhoods, street games mostly stick-ball, playgrounds and St. Raymond's Church...neighborhood stores and people out walking and talking...something in short supply these days for me in my area in the Boston area for the last 50+yrs...anyone recall the movie "The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984)",,, starring Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts; they filmed a incredible scene at Castle Hill and Westchester Ave. about a traffic cop "sh...ing" his pants in the intersection...must see movie for any NYC gal or guy !!!

The Montefiore hospital in the neighborhood has grown extensively. This is a great walking tour and addictive to watch. Stay safe and have a great day. Thanks.
I grew up in Morris park but with all the quick cuts and wide angle views it’s hard to determine where you are, plus many of the stores I remember are long gone, replaced by storefronts with foreign writing. I’m totally lost and have to watch again and pause at every annoying cut and low angle clip.
@tonymanzo3766, Interesting to hear that from you, I have always heard people tell me that my videos are the easiest to follow because I put timestamps and name labels at the beginning of every street. Do you look at the timestamps and the name labels at all? Sorry to hear you are having a hard time following.
@@ThomEchi I do see the location stamps, looks like you visited the the same area at least twice. A couple of places have opened and closed , a laundry on hunt and Morris park Avenue is a burger place, sorrento pizza is different owners. Keep the camera steady, don’t swing from side to side, it’s ok to show people walking on the sidewalk too
@@tonymanzo3766, This man has been very polite to you. His cameras use a 3-axis stabilizer, which means the camera does not swing. His video is very steady. You should at least find something good to say about his work. By the way, are you watching the same video we are all watching?
@@walkobserveandrecord9593 it’s the hood I grew up in, I want to see more detail of the business places still in operation and. What has changed, don’t be critical of my criticism, nothing wrong if it was somewhere else. Whenever I saw saw something, I paused or rewound to get a clearer picture. I’m used to guys like action kid that does his videos with a gimbal mounted camera that keeps everything level and are able to see where he is going, without making anyone dizzy. Ok, I’ll say something nice, seems to be a higher quality camera and wide angle lens, no malice intended, just one man’s opinion.
Thanks for this! I grew up on Eastchester RD Bronx New York back in the 90s, near Eastwood manor, you just walked right by my old house/ aunts house. I know times have changed but Back then it was the safest neighborhood, every Saturday morning I would ride by red wagon, battery powered motorcycle and mountain bike up and down these blocks! Area was so safe. live in chicago now, Haven't been to the Bronx since then, sometimes I go on google maps to see the area, But this video is soooo much better and nostalgic. I see that Burger king on Boston Rd still there, lol, been there over 30 years, thats crazy. Thank you man. #90sKid

I remember That great neighborhood before it became Haiti. Never had street venders all over the place it looks forth world. We also never had roll up gates on the store fronts.
I love when peoples true racist sides jump out on social media . Haiti really? That neighborhood is well known for it's Asian and Hispanic communities and African Americans along with African people yet you singled them out to say Haiti lol news flash nyc has always been like this nothing changed and it won't change
@@shawnhall9792 To hell with you and racism as well. I'm talking about a standard I grew up in Castle Hill two blocks from the Castle hill projects The same kind of nonsence is going on there Gang fights, Murders and all maner of Mayhem. We never had anything like that when I was growing up there in the sixties. Stores with steel roll up gates NEVER, and as I said never in Parkchester. They have thew same kind of garbage going on on Whiter Plains road between Lydig ave and Pelham Parkway. also all up and Down Fordham Road the main shopping area, how is that fair to those merchants who p[ay rent for a retail space, utilities, in some cases salaries, Food service Licenses and TAXES? By the way Mr. presumptous, I have spanish relatives, My first Girl friend was spanish and My wife is Calmex. It's the standard, not the race. Now piss off!
