The whole "consider your lifestyle" aspect is what i always get hung up on. How I want to dress and how I dress are two different things. The majority of my time is spent studying but the rest of it is spent at the gym, gardening, walking my dog. Realistically im reaching for something casual or im just unnecessarily changing my clothes all day.
This was great. I'm still struggling with a suitcase but I know where I went wrong on the last trip. In fact my suitcase fell apart, so I'm taking that as a sign.😅 I'm road testing different bacpack at the moment. Kanken is my favourite so far.
Great packing video, but I am not a laundry on vacation person. 13 days means 13 pairs of underwear, 14 pairs of socks. For bras I might cut it to 7....but still probably 13. I can reuse shirts and pants.
I went in vacation to NY for a week and packed something like this. Just used a packing blocks and fits perfectly. Even there was space left for an extra pair of shoes or a jacket
i travel a lot and work in hotels i keep my clothes fold cause keep them more tide to acess.I always plan tickets and make my suitcases early those tips are cool to keep my stuff tidy
Дякую - Thank you. I am teaching myself to read Ukrainian and am almost able to read all the signs in the supermarket on your videos now. Your videos are helping me a lot with minimalism, getting de-cluttered and sleep better.
Hi could you do a winter pack one please, with the layer system and coats, as I’m from Tasmania Australia, it gets cold and I prefer to travel cold climates, it seems every packing video is oriented towards tropics. Would be good thankyou based on fortnight to three weeks travel.
I don't think minimalism is a lifestyle for rich people, but I do think that quite a few rich people kind of "fake" a minimalist lifestyle in the Internet because that's convenient for them, and I find it annoying: if you spend thousands of dollars on expensive clothes and you are constantly decluttering them, you are not a minimalist, just another type of consumerist 🙄 BUT I also think that one of the "problems" with minimalism is actually overfocusing on decluttering as the only important aspect. Yes it is important, but other things are also important: buying less, buying more consciously, use what we have for a longer period of time, give stuff a second life if we declutter it whenever this is possible.
Like anything it can be taken too far. I have always been a clean organized, minimalistic person even as a kid. I at times have taken minimalism too far. Learning to find a balance is key and do minimalism in a way that works for you.
Great video, Victoria. I moved to Europe from South America with my partner in 2022 because of his job. I worked as Spanish professor at my home country. Here i worked in other fields but i hated it. Now i am working in my bussiness, trying to be a freelance Spanish teacher. It is hard sometimes, to keep focus in your goals.
I actually will have to work 50 years to retire at 65 yo in the US. I started working when I was 16 yo and back then retirement age was 55 yo. They keep increasing the number. By the time I retire, it might be 80 yo.
Same. So it seems like the only way is to try to find something you more or less enjoy doing, like Peppe said. And bear with the fact that we'll have to work all life.
