Damn its kinda sad that eveyone only focuses on the game that used this song in it instead of the song itself. The gane was enhanced by this, but by only recognizing the game yall arebkinda diminishing the song by itself.
So, I just wanted somewhere to leave this thought, but in Hotline Miami 2, I don't think the person everyone calls "Richard" is the same character as Richard in 1. In fact, they're Death taking the form of Jacket, because Jacket is who most of the playable cast thinks of when they think of death for one reason or another. This isn't the case for Richter's mother though. She sees her husband, Richter's father. Why would this sweet, harmless old woman think of some masked maniac instead of her husband, after all? Death comes in many forms, and has different meanings to different people, but it always, always comes alone. (Bonus points, on the train ride Evan takes, Death takes off the rooster mask to reveal Evan's wife, symbolizing his fear of the death of his marriage and family life.) Edit: fixed me saying the ENTIRE cast, not everyone has a Richard/Death visit, thanks for pointing that out.
Not the whole playable cast. Beard and Jake wouldn’t know about Jacket’s killings, and Pardo’s version of Richard is the doll he sees in Caught. All of these characters do see Richard in the New Game+ intro, and Beard even asks if they’ve met before.
@@GopherpilledTunneler what Pardo saw is now exactly Richard, more like his own second personality of a maniac. Why didn't Richard appear to Marin as a second pig-masked maniac personality then?
@@frezingcrazy Martin is acting out Jacket as a character, so I can see how the chicken mask apparition makes sense from the original commenter's standpoint. But a character like Pardo doesn't really have a reason to view Jacket as his personal symbol of death, since he has his own serial killer thing going on and no personal connection to Jacket.
@@GopherpilledTunneler I should clarify for the characters that HAVE visits from Richard, that's why he appears the way he does (it's been a minute lol I just got in the mood to listen to the OST, my bad) Richard doesn't understand Pardo, so there's nothing he could really say, Beard only killed because he had to (which is why I think Death/Richard feels bad about how they first "met", same with accepting Richter's misplaced apology and giving him no judgement either) and Jake, Jake is hard to say why he's not visited, as "not listening" didn't stop the other visits. But yeah the doll is just the "Miami Mutilator" personified separately from Pardo, he even says Pardo created him.
You are the blood Flowing through my fingers All through the soil Up in those trees You are electricity And you are light You are sound itself And you are flight
Thank you Sufjan for this eulogy. Yet another species needlessly sacrificed because of human selfishness and greed. Rest in peace beautiful Ivory billed woodpeckers. 🪽🪽🪽
*I want this to play at my funeral.* this song is so beautiful, it's calm, yet intense. The gentle yet rough audio.. it's perfect. Like a mix of heaven and hell themselves. Opposite, yet the same.. And I'm very glad you all understand it: *Leaving this world, is not as scary as it sounds...*
A man, who killed as a means to get revenge for his loved ones. Never seeing the full picture and eventually ending up all alone. A biker, who sacrificed everything he once had to see the full picture only to fail in the end. A group of masked vigilantes who aspired to be like their idol, yet in the end failed due to their cockiness and overconfidence. A police officer, consumed by jealousy and envy Wanting to be just as famous as the man who started it all. A Cobra, blinded by his patriotism and nationalism Only accidentally finding out the true meaning of things. Only to die soon afterwards. An actor blinded by his thirst for violence and bloodshed, unbeknownst of the “plot twist” in his story. A writer blinded by his need to uncover everything, only reconsidering his priorities near the end. A henchmen, who was blind of the road he was heading down. Only soon realizing mere moments before his death. A soldier, fighting with his life on the line Every moment as a means to make it home. Only for all his struggles to be for nothing. A rat, who killed for his mother As a means to protect her from the true horrors He is facing. A mafia boss, blinded by his need to continue his father’s legacy. Yet only in the end to lose all his hard-work from his decisions
Idk if its true but some people say that the Sun is going to approach Earth in 2025, and that all electronics will be unfunctional or some shit like that.. Anyway, if its true then ill be glad to listen to this song until the bitter end
SPOILER ALERT: Bravo, Dennaton. This game, this masterpiece of a game, is not only the one that had me raging the most, but definitley one of the many that has got me to feel particularly emotional. When I first finished the game, my mind couldn't process that the ending was an event that nobody could have prevented during the story. Seeing everyone that had survived that massacre die in one single moment broke me. And when I saw the scene of Jacket in prison dying as well, I shed a tear. But it wasn't over yet, oh no. When I got back to the main menu, realizing what it actually meant, I just sat there, staring at it, contemplating life. I really commend to you. You made an amazing game, one that will definitley not be forgotten.
