Anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem: I set my low limit, clamp the cable back in the front derailleur, then use the tension screw until I get a good shift up to the big ring. All good, no rub. But then I go to align the top trim, and once I match the white lines using the tension screw, now I've got rub again.
When adjusting both limit screws, do you screw in both barrel adjusters on the shifter and rear derailleur? If you have 3 front chainrings (24 speed) which front gear, do you shift it in when adjusting the limit screws?
Very detailed video, much appreciated ! Most people tell you to focus on stack and reach, but this vid helped me make sense of all the other measurements available. I will have to keep this info in mind when I look into upgrading my current bike (Orbea Avant H40-D) sometime in the next year or two.
I watched so many videos about adjusting front and rear derailleur but they are all confusing, like they don't want to let you know to adjust them 100% right. Videos from buycycle guys are perfect. Thank you!
Between learning high is small and low is the biggest (gear ratios) it was confusing enough. This video is greatly informative. Woot woot for you, brother man.
My fatal mistakes all this while: 1. 1:09 NOT detaching the cable as the very 1st step 2. 4:48 NOT backing up the barrel adjuster by 1 turn (counter-clockwise), prior to re-attaching the cable. This video is the best!
id suggest used. I got a p5 with dura ace di2, zipp 808s, and an adamo saddle that was only ridden outside during races and indoor beside that for $2000. just be patient and keep an eye out for deals!
1. It's "clipless* pedal" not "clickless pedal" 2. the clipless pedal was invented by Look in 1982 and introduced in 1984. Shimano licensed the Look system and when the license ran out, developed the SPD-SL system from it, introduced in 2003. It uses the same three-bolt sole pattern for to attach the cleats to the shoe. Shimano did invent the SPD system for MTBs though, featuring a double-sided mechanism and a recessed cleat that makes walking easier.
I'm selling my bike, so this's perfect to get things smoothly handed-over. 😂 😊 If it's a little rough, I won't be satisfied. 😂 So, thank you for your guidance!
In my experience, the BuyCycle platform is not recommended. I was deceived by this platform. I bought a high-end bicycle that was advertised in perfect condition. I received a bike with a cracked carbon frame and a damaged front derailleur. Despite charging the seller for supposed protection that literally says: "COVER REPAIR COSTS IF THE BIKE ARRIVES DAMAGED OR WITH SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES" They only offer me as a solution, after having already invested money in the bike, to return it. Deceived by the seller and helpless by the buycycle platform. If you have a bicycle that you want to sell with a hidden defect, it is a good place.
did this guy casualy said at tune up cost 200 euros? what more than a bmw or mercedes alot of bike people are crazy....... so im buying a used bike for 200-300 and pay 200 for some lube or replace bairings...... NICE..... ripp off.
Thank you although you are very detailed about led indicators on the rear...the battery status indicator on the shifter was not so well explained where it was located...for the rest very spot on
This isn't for beginners, I'm new to this stuff anyone who has just started this makes no sense! How the hell does everyone have stands, literally every video assumes you have one 😂 no one tells you before starting that everything is going to feel alien Nothing makes sense!
This is the most rewarding and clear bike derailleur video I've watched in the last 5 hours. I've been looking for a solution to my rear derailleur top jockey popping noise to no awhail. And so far it's either cleaning the chain, or all the solutions in this video. Thank you for taking the time to make such a clear video. I feel confident in being able to do this at home now. Just need to get some tools. I got my bike yesterday, and I hooked it to a trainer today and the chain started making noises.
I'm on the verge of tears I've been working on this godforsaken bike all day and every time i try again from the beginning it screws something else up but I can't afford to get it tuned at the shop
On the new DI 2 12 speed you have buttons on the top of the hoods you can use as well will you please make a video showing that feature as well. Thank you
I had to replace a trigger shifter. This video helped me get everything back to working order. It was uncomplicated and worked perfectly. Thank you for posting this.
Carbon costs an arm and leg. The bike market is turning away from these exorbitant carbon prices. For now, aluminum is the ticket with carbon forks with DuraAce at a fraction of the price for a full carbon frame.
