With walnut and wood movement, why did you not use a spacer (playing card) between each slot layout? Even something as easy as putting a piece of tape on the edge of each piece would have given you clearance. Just asking?
I WANT THAT DESK ❤ we are in SoCal (Santa monica) …and I work from home and my fiancé is in construction and an aspiring woodworker. We would adore this! We would use this everyday. It’s beautiful!
I really like this new format Shaun! And whatever it is what you want to do next to your videos, just do what makes you happy, because that comes across. The woodworking is excellent anyway, so everything around it is a lot of you and your mood showing through! Excellent desk by the way, wonderfully done!
Shaun, I want that desk! It would have been much easier to grab when you were still down the road in Solvang/Buellton, but I’ll make the trek to get this.
17:00 LOL, dude, you could have just used an "ebony" stain. Rolled the whole thing in like 2 minutes. It's just stain and not any sort of finish, so glue sticking to the wood is no problem. Oh, well. Next time. (and to be honest, it probably would have stuck just fine to that paint as well)
Shaun, the desk you made is absolutely the most beautiful desk I’ve ever seen! God has blessed you with an incredible talent. Your vision to create that desk just amazes me! I would be so honored to have your one of a kind desk! I work from my home for myself about 60 hours a week and have been warned by my doctor that if I don’t get a standing desk soon, I will be shaving years off my life! (I’m 56) I currently have a beautiful cherry wood executive desk I hate to get rid of, only to be replaced with a basic stand up desk that all you see re ugly black legs. I have combed the internet for months for a stand up desk that doesn’t look like a stand up desk when lowered and have not been able to find one that I can afford. I would be so great full if you would consider me as its new owner. Unfortunately I reside is OH, but would be willing to pay for the shipping! Please call me at 4192368729 if you choose me! 😊
Shaun: I was cheering you along the whole build. I knew you’d ‘rise’ to the occasion. Job well done. And yes, I’d love to have and use this desk. I’m in OC. Thanks for the video and the chance to win this awesome desk.
I’m in SoCal and I think this piece would tie my small place together, as someone who works off my bed when at home. Your passion shows through in your work and your work is appreciated.
I would love that desk! More importantly I love your videos! As an aspiring woodworker I love to watch and get new ideas and ways to improve my craft! Please keep making the videos and do it however you want! They are always great!
Shaun, I want that desk, but I'm on the other side of the country. Pallet rate would be $300-500 easily. So, congrats to whomever gets the desk. Well done Sir. Well done!
