I don’t think he’s coming back. Why would he? He’s made enough money to be quite comfortable and only promise left behind was a game only he’s played. I wouldn’t fault him for it either, he earned it.
I like to think that Mocktropica kinda predicted the downfall of Poptropica. The game did eventually get bought by another organization in, i believe 2015 or 2016, or 2017, and since then, the people who used to be in charge of making Poptropica how it was had zero legal control over it. And the new people just kept introducing bad ideas to the game, causing it to spiral down... That's just how I view it. This was truly a nice video. Also, at 9:55, I LOVED FETCH TOO!! I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE ON THAT SHOW!!
don't know if you omitted this info for the sake of getting your point across or if you simply didn't notice it, but i feel i should mention dani actually responded to kalex's video, something along the lines of "For my next magic trick i'll say the game is 90% done and won't upload for the next 6 months" so far it's been 7 months since that comment, though i wouldn't be too worried. the way i see it, deadlines are a double edged sword. yeah they keep you on your toes and convince you to make progress, but they also increase stress and sometimes encourage skipping over details. ultimately, dani sees his game as a passion moreso than a project, so a deadline wouldn't be advisable. progress may be slow, even incalculable, but eventually he'll release it

Yeah but it’s the style I’m aiming for. I used to stand and look into the camera but the audio quality and reading quality took a dip. Since I have a high quality mic it’s very picky of what it picks up and the further away the worse it is to deal with in post and I just suck at reading out loud but thanks for the advice

I would like to point 2 things. First would be the say that Palworld did anything to pokémon, not only because it isn't the first time a "pokémon clone" show up but more importantly it has been less than half a year from Palworld initial release, we literally only got a side game announcement from pokémon till now, unless you have internal info, we quite literally have nothing new happen since Palworld. Second, and this happen so frequently that baffles me, any game, ANY game will have a explosion in sales and players at release, some have less and some have more, but ALWAYS will drop significantly with time. Palworld became viral, not only people who liked the game where playing and talking about it, but also Nintendo white knights attacking it online, and trolls doing their best to mock both sides. Saying that is "dead" because the hype died is disingenuous, and this is me giving you the benefit of doubt that you know what you're talking about. And as a personal note, TPC, Game Freak, and Nintendo don't give two cents of a care to their consumers. ROM hacks and "clone games" are always popping up, and in some cases they leave oficial Pokémon games on the dust in quality, regardless we keep seeing lackluster releases filled with bugs with graphics from 10yrs ago that still manage to lag on their newest console. I WISHED Palworld was the "wake-up call" that people like to say it was.
Palworld isn't dead at all, it went viral, that's all. The Dev team never expected it to do crazy concurrent numbers like it did, even considering all the money they made off of the game's sales they still had to manage new hirings and buy new servers then pay (a lot) to maintain those servers as well. adding an extra 30 people to the team wasn't ever going to be nearly enough to speed blitz content or patches to keep up with such an oversized player base. If anything the game's current active players is much more sustainable and in line with their projections even though it's still larger than expected. Personally, this take seems like a live service mentality where people assumed the game was going to be the only game they played all year (possibly a pokemon killer somehow lol) and if it didn't live up to that by maintaining crazy high numbers (2,000,000 lol) then "it's dead" which says more about consumers than the devs themselves. Pokemon isn't listening to the fan base much seeing as they're just now getting around to bringing back megas, something we've wanted for years, let's hope they don't get lazy on character customization AGAIN. they're still going to keep ridiculous prices because Nintendo's M.O. is to stay full price for as long as possible and then drop expensive dlc's, that never go down in price years later. I hope you're right and they take their time on this new game though.
I don't let random RU-vidrs tell me whether something is "dead" based on hype alone. Edit: after a re read everything I said is still true palworld went viral and people started throwing around "pokemon with guns" and then"pokemon killer" for hype sake when it was never supposed to be that. That would be impossible for it to all of a sudden drop the biggest media franchise in the world overnight, that's unrealistic.
As a PlayStation player I’m still excited for PalWorld to maybe eventually come to Sony consoles as I’m sure plenty of others are. It might’ve died down a bit but there’s still a whole other player base that hasn’t even gotten to experience the game yet. I stopped following the game because competitive PKMN is in peak season from now till the new game drops early 2025 but I’m on PalWorld soon as the finished product drops on PS5
Idk if you get your information from Wikipedia or not but just because the game is boring for you, doesn’t mean that the community agrees. The game is still alive and has only lost 1k, still at 44k players consistently as an INDIE game, it hasn’t died. It might not have as much buzz but it surely hasn’t died. Also, comparing a RU-vidr to a video game was….. idk if it was supposed to be funny but I’m not sure who was laughing but you.
If we are not optimistic about future games in the series, then why playing the Pokémon series as all this video was to show Pokémon might be learning from their mistakes for once the keyword I want to talk about there is might because if we don’t, then there is nothing to look forward to. Well, that’s how I see it at least.
Dude, it is way~~~ too soon to even pretend pokemon has been saved from itself. Palworld was a wakeup call for pokemon fans, but gamefreak still has to do the work to save Pokemon and there is no evidence that it has done so (and plenty of evidence otherwise, with Nintendo attacking fakemon games harder after palworld dropped)
And that’s why if you watched till the end of the video, I said something amongst the lines of hopefully Pokémon begins to listen to their community instead of just canceling the game series. I said that to indicate the Pokémon might learn nothing from this game.
you sir dont seem to know what youre talking about. if palworld had "teached" anything to pokemon company(aka gamefreak nintendo and whoever is the third party i dont remember that also has rights to pokemon) the next title of pokemon that is actuall standard pokemon game would come without bugs and full national pokedex, besides that there is an even bigger problem behind it wich is nintendo, according to rumours wich usually tend to be quite accurate switch 2 is in the making and ITS WEAKER THAN A FREAKING STEAMDECK with claims of focusing ON BATERY LIFE, we all know the reason why that happens, its a mask for their greediness(nintendo), nintendo makes tons of cash from console sales and since their exclusive titles also arent on other platforms they can still charge you 60$ for a 10yo game, so theyre making dipshit loads of money from mindless nintendo consumers, switch at 300$? it costs way less than a 100$ for them to make it, incoming switch 2? weaker than a steamdeck, you can purchase steamdecks firsthand at around 300$, they're literaly saying "screw you" to their costumers, their incoming "switch 2" will cost 300-400$ and still cost around 100$ per console on production costs... the reason why the switch is a bad console is because nintendo purposely makes bad consoles always... the gameboy had a "calculator power(brain/chip)" and how many calculators could you buy with the price of one gameboy? nintendo will end up killing itself with its choices worldwide, maybe staying alive in japan only, alot of ppl nowadays just purchase nintendo games, but because emulation is so much superior to the console experience ppl will emulate the console in their pc to play, alot of steamdeck owners that also own the switch also resort to emulate the switch in the steamdeck as its a better experience, also the majority of the pokemon content on youtube are romhacks wich just serve to show how much behind is the switch... switch 2 should not be weaker than a steamdeck, its should be at least as powerfull as steamdeck with a better battery life(nintendo games are also way less draining on batery since they have way lower requirements). pokemon legends ZA has nothing to do with palworld, the game literaly released this year, and nintendo takes always 2+ years to make each pokemon game, meaning that the game was already on the making before palworld had released...
btw from the video it also seems the only real person without any real knowledge is you lmao... if we had statistics about pokemon(wich we dont) the numbers would be way worse... btw you seem to forget that the latest pokemon game is still with lots of bugs and hasnt been fixed, this coming from a company worth billions of dollar and way bigger than palworld, comparetivelly palworld has a smaller team and updates their game far more often and ACTUALLY FIXES STUFF with every update...

Forever tying palworld with Pokémon either it being a good thing or bad thing. This video if anything shits on both games. Z-A announced and they pushed back the timeline. It also seems like you’re just not a fan of Nintendo. People don’t play Nintendo games for the highest quality stuff they play it because it’s fun. Buddy, chill out. Pokémon hasn’t released anything since Palworld and Nintendo probably thought Palworld was just a gag like the rest of the world did when those first trailers had came out. Just wait until Pokémon releases something and then try having an opinion. I’m not defending Pokémon either btw, I’m pissed at how shit quality the games have been recently, with reused assets and lazy animations. But let’s wait and see what Pokémon releases next before passing judgement on any announced games.
totally agree. its a single player game there is no reason for it to stay around its max player base for months. Persona 3 Reload was at 45k and is down to 6k now and Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth was at 45k and is down to 3k. Most people play single players games once and are done with it

Also this is not their first game, they made Craftopia, and the game is not dead... please do proper research beyond just statistics, people are so obsessed with statistics that you could have a bunch of bots like and subscribe to your youtube channel and you would call it you rising up, meanwhile the bots come and stay, while the real watchers probably liked and moved on... also the server issue from their game is similar to the other game and the team is small... but they have a road map and they always add stuff and do bug fixes

If anything you are just restating what was brought up in the poster's argument. That isn't a valid excuse. You should be highlighting the roadmap the dev's released and tbh it's very disappointing. Only marketing PvP (which should of been dropped at release) and 4 new pals and a few weapon additions shows that they are still not in the avenue of releasing more content. At the end of the day, modern games are driven by freshness and new content otherwise, you move on. Craftopia is not relevant in this argument. It never was. We are talking about Palworld, a game to rival Pokemon. I'm not sure why your bringing up another game just to say it's "not a dead game." That is good news for the devs but has no link to Palworld dev production or roadmapping. You could maybe make that argument for a MMO but, that is not the case here. MMOs are notorious for botting and causing inaccurate numbers but, Palworld is a server ran game by players to commence with friends or by themselves. It's not a game where bots would feast. While I do believe your arguments just don't make sense; keep trust in the devs. I'm definitely past the Palworld hype but, I am hopeful they actually make a meaningful update. We shouldn't lie to ourselves that these "updates" your likely referring too are anything but, applying stability to servers.

New season comes out in like 10 days. Very excited game is still super fun. Good mechanics looks good when you play tbe destructive ability of the whole environment is amazingly fun. If you like hero or class shooters then this is the game for you

what killed it for me is getting 1 shot by heavies that never die and playing against 2 mediums pocket healing eachother or 1 person. gives me flashback to overwatch. it is very fun how fast paced and all the other details but after u win 3 games u get matched with omega sweats that use cheese strat rather than actually reward good aim. also the light class is way too weak for what its supposed to be fundamentally
