I don't know when and how gambling became meta but it's worst thing that happened to me. After i won big jackpot of 3k€ i went into rabbit hole of never ending gambing. I'm a student and i also work as waiter and you can guess where all my money from sallary went at around 00:00... i tried so hard to pull out lost money but then I just realised that i should just stop with it completely and forget about money i lost... The odds of getting red 4 times in a row is 6%. Now before you start raging, go and actually try to get red 4 times in a row on a simulator.
I partake in pretty much all of these, not because I actually believe the fallacy but because it’s what makes gambling fun. I say one out loud and if the bet wins I get to call myself a psychic genius.

I refuse to believe slot machines are left up to chance for casinos. In a way it's NOT. They set the win % out to make sure they make money. They rig the machine to lose more than win. Keep this in mind.

You can automatically assume it's going to lose more than it's going to win lol. If it was completely random then the company would never put it in just like you said but not because of a negative EV, because they would have no idea what their bottom line is for that machine because it would be completely random on when it wins and when it doesn't and they would have no idea if they're winning or losing until the end of the month when they do their numbers. Or at the end of the day which is probably what they would do or, even each hour lol because they're sketchy and grimy and scummy like that lol

So, if you are a man, I believe it's important to watch this video and ask yourself if you have some of these flags. Noticing a bad behaviour in yourself is the first step in becoming better. Also, the main map of flags has some wrong labels (social media obsession is labelled Lack of Accountability, and the next few flags are mislabelled as well). i see what you mean about loss aversion but, in terms of poker, i think most pro players end up folding like 70-80% of hands. i love your style of content btw, as others have said it's so straight to the point which is a nice change in pace

In any case you must apply some awareness to yourself, we always tend to be more confident in our cards after winning some hands in a row in poker and the AT-A9os utg is more appealing now that used to be when we first had it the hour before and don't have it in our range in this position.

The few parts that are true are given an obviously biased angle and all the page numbers cited in the corner lead to nothing that the video is speaking of I don't agree with much of Project 2025 but the scaremongering being used is disgusting and misinformed But go ahead, send the quotes of some of these claims. Like I said, some of them aren't wrong per se so I might agree, but some of them are blatantly false

Everything was well explained, BUT Poker is the wrong example for the Hot Hand Fallacy. If I have most of the chips, in a closed game of course, I have to bet bigger and more often. It’s not because I am on a streak and will get lucky more often, but rather that if I play more hands (which I can afford) I have a higher chance of getting the nuts so I then can bet big. Same goes for investing, why are all billionaires not liquid, they invest in future value, this is only possible if you part take in this risk. (Of course there are other components such as inflation etc.) But ofcourse if I play the slot machine and raise my bet because I just won, this is just gambling.
if i told you that the algorithms that everyone is afraid of are real and are allowed in any casino in the US (online and off) would you change some of the thoughts you had on people who think they are being cheated
@@ExplainedWithPaint Well, the thing is, that every single thing a gambler says, cant always be a fallacy. As in a broken clock is at least right twice a day... Gamblers are impulsive and (rarely) care about thinking about what they are getting themselves into before they do it. Did you know that most modern roulette wheels have a mechanism called random rotor speed, or have mechanisms that allow them to randomize various factors related to the wheel which essentially changes the original path of the ball had it only been a dealer and the wheel speed at first. The random rotor speed "imperceptibly" changes the wheel speed in a random manner in order to stop people from coming into the casinos with a camera that can clock a wheel, and thats also online roulette as well. I can go on for years. Its all cheating to me.

There are groups similar to card counters who are dedicated to craps, they train how to throw dice to manipulate the odds in their favor and it works. Can't remember their names tho, just look it up on youtube or google
