Double sleeving or triple sleeving is illegal in some tournaments due to knowing which cards could be next. From this sleeving method i can understand for keeping them protected for rarity

I actually do the opposite side instead 😅 On the Dragon Shield Inner Sleeves packet it shows how they sleeve cards... The "top" is the open slot... The card is inserted so that the name/title portion goes in first. You then place pointer finger and middle finger and also thumb to insert the card into the Outer sleeve. The "open slit" is on the bottom of the sleeve and then the outer sleeve the "top" is now the Open Slit... With the Standard Sleeve you then insert the card so you have triple sleeves... For Yu-Gi-Oh you don't need to do this and 2 or 1 sleeves is just perfect. Triple sleeves on Japanese/Yu-Gi-Oh cards won't be able to fit inside standard deck boxes

I think there was something more important than a third sleeve which is not to put your fingerprint on the card's artwork in the first place. I'd use gloves for such cards and never touch them barehanded.

The third sleeve is unnecessary and these in particular are too big The card will move around inside causing loads of extra wear and damage to the card the common card trick was a nice touch nonetheless
