I work at sams club and they use these same lifts and ive been super nervous and im in the current process of learning one. but it seems to be useful for stocking
Yeah, Crown's controls suck, Crown sucks in general. Raymond makes the best reach trucks and stand up forklifts by far. Raymond's controls are amazing.
Yo I work at the costco meat department and they're making me learn how to hang pallets for our meat cooler. I'm super nervous. I get anxious watching people hang/drop stuff from the A steel
@@CekalaStudios Home Depot Forklift & Reach driver here. They call it pacer mainly because they have Propane Sit Down Forklifts. But I consider it to be a stand up Forklift
Can the lift equipment be operated during store hours? Is the safety procedures similar to that of The Home Depot where you must have a spotter and close the adjacent aisle you dropping down a pallet
Yes , the forklifts can and are used during store hours . The procedures are the same as you described but normally we have 2 spotters . One leading and one trailing.
Has there ever been an accident or fk up at that place? Like if someone were to damage inventory would they get fired on the spot? Lol, at one of my old jobs we fucked up a lot of inventory but we just stay quiet and it's all good unless it's major damage.
Brings back a lot of memories. I drove one of them for years working for the same company. Most common accident I found was people hitting the sprinklers with the mass in the freezer lol talk about an ice rink lol
Its safty. I had to do the same with a walk behind lift truck. Horn, if youre either going forward or backwards through a door, everything down low, forks back. Announce and stop at aisle ends.. its a pain, but its better than killing somebody....Hell, even lowes and home depot block aisles while the lift is there and require another person to help guide despite the beeping as noone pays attention.
OSHA Requires that you stop and honk at every intersection. And to slow down and honk for pedestrians. The continuous beeps you’re hearing is equipped on these type of forklifts because they are used on sales floor around customers and it alerts them that there’s a PIT coming through and operating. You will see at a lot of places, there is usually two spotters. One behind, and in front. And when the machine is in an aisle, it will be temporarily roped off for customer safety to prevent serious accidents or injuries. :)
Dude you totally snuck that camera in the warehouse. We use these same lifts at Walmart distribution centers. My wife's taking a lift Job and wanted to see the controls. She's super nervous. But I love em
Michigan location. we only have extinguishers on two lifts. the other five are bare bones. including mine lol. extinguisher in the end messes with my view.
what location was this at? Just curious. At our (Costco) warehouse, we don't have extinguishers on the lifts. I guess that in one of the MW buildings, an extinguisher fell off of the bracket and fell in such a way that the thing shot down an empty aisle towards a bulk wall.
