Is is needed if they milled right down to the gravel? Isn't binder all that is needed without the tack? I'm not an asphalt guy so any direction is appreciated.
Hoe operator f’d that bell up trying to grab it, looks like he’s never used that attachment! I’m sure the laborers have plenty of mortar ready with this guy handling their pipe
White Dosent do any favours for the Owner imo Reduced Resale Value looks a twat. Far Better Graphics could be achieved for a fraction of the price of white respray
At 2:22 what type of weird excavator attachment is that, what is it called, what does it do, what is it use 4 & what is the purpose of that attachment?????????🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Sometimes having it as an attachment allows quick access to material that needs to be compacted. It can be removed and the excavator can get back to using a bucket quickly.
@@ConstructionMachineryChannel It's mostly because everything is at a smaller scale in Europe, and scrapers in particular would only get used for major road or railway construction. And even there, we mostly just use dozers or excavators and dumpers for cut & fill jobs. There is also a lot of rock over here.
I had them on my backhoe for almost 17 years they are awesome I never had the chance to try a rotator I’m sure it would be night and day compared to that
Truck mounted Gradalls used to be rather common. My dad liked using them. That was before V-buckets became common for excavators, and you could really bevel a trench with a Gradall back then.
Nice tilting hitch! I always wonder why companies don't just spend the extra money and go for a full tiltrotator, especially on machines that do a lot of utility work!
Where's this? Since when is driving a loader back and forth on the surface level - even with the bucket loaded with material - constitute 'compaction'?
Great catch! But unfortunately yea it’s not that rare. I’ve been starting to see quite a lot of small rubber tire excavators with the tilt quick attach like on this one, here in New York City. Some of them have the hydraulic clam bucket on them, but again awesome catch bro :)
Yea definitely not rare... just maybe you aint left your city or you have not seen it on a machine yet. My boss/cousin has had Rototilts since 2009-2010, back then it was rare.. now theyve become very common, just depends on the company who understands how machines work in certain situations and buys one.
Given that trenching and achieving the right grade (for the pipe) is nearly always the slowest part of a pipeline operation, I don't feel this excavator is too big for the job. A bigger excavator makes easier to jockey the trench shield about, and it makes the breaking out of the concrete layer on top easier as well.
I know this guy is an excellent operator, but it's not a smart idea to stand around the trench - away from the shield and with no helmet on - and be so close to that big bucket. I do love how the port-a-toilet is called a "Oui Oui" (pronounced 'wee-wee').
