When RBC stood against national permitted development guidelines and issued a ruling allowing them to stop house extension left and right, WHY did they not think these extra rooms are NEEDED. for families to stay in old homes in better conditions, to accommodate a granny or to rent out cheaper to young professionals in need or lodging. We had to waste 12 years!!! in approval process for extention, deliberatly stalled by RBC. now in our 60s we got no energy for that work! human lives are wasted by these corrupt burocrats in our town who only busy demolishing old pubs one after another to build housed in places where already water or gas supply have so low pressure, shows are taken in turns by neighbours.
only more ANTI-MARKET measures to increase amount if homeless and rent outside the system where neither tenants no landlords are protected by law. delusional "management". the choice REAL tenants face now is - to be homeless or be lucky finding something substandard but affordable. why we should search for a "guilty" party among landlords? basic income today does not allow renting. UC does not allow renting. people HAVE TO resort to cash jobs and substandard living standards. just TO HAVE A HOME.
consultation is just a box ticking exercise they will do what they want any They tried it in Scotland has resulted in less rental property at higher rents
The Law already determines Minimum Standards for properties, so just require every LL to send in a signed legal document confirming all the standards have been met for the property. Then employ inspectors to perform random checks on properties in a manner similar to OFSTEAD inspectors. and Grade the property Outstanding, Good, Minor Work Needed, or Unacceptable. This will have minimal impact so will NOT cause a rapid increase in Rents to be paid by tenants to cover LL costs.
Why do you keep allowing Thames Water to do non emergency works in the middle of the night at Garrard Street? Activity Type: New Service Connection Location: Garrad Street Reading Permit Reference: MU092-80965883KE-01 Responsibility for Event: Thames Water
So what's happening on Garrad Street with construction workers working until 2am on "important works" that can't be done during the day? Are you guys saying Ebb & Flow hold more value than the residents that live in Garrard House? Thames Water can't work during the day but can work during the night for the week so as to not disturb the Ebb and Flow construction workers during the day. True emergency this is.
If they keep the same ridiculous times " Better leisure" adults can swim, its a waste of time the odd hour here and there and late in the evenings, central pool had it sorted so everyone could swim anytime ...........
Where did they all park? Yes good news, shame the Parking officer had no consideration for my disabled pensioner. AS below--I have been told by traffic wardens that I could park outside the back of Marks and Spencer for 5 minutes. I was in the process of reversing into the space when a Traffic control car took a photo of me doing this, In A 3-second photo, persons were walking across the bay so I had to wait a few seconds. The photo of the car in the attachment does not belong to me, as the Traffic Penalty Tribunal asked when they viewed the evidence. and I was told it breaches the Data Protection Act. There has been a procedural impropriety by the enforcement authority. I spoke to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal who has seen the the evidence and asked me to contact back to the Parking Services officer. With the hope, that he would see sense in his original decision, concerning representation against the penalty charge notice. Who makes no mention of the parking attendant who said it was okay to park there for 5 minutes. No consideration was made of this? Also, the point I made when picking up a disabled pensioner was not taken into consideration. Phone numbers on The Notice sent 27/10/2023 do not respond 03433571177 the redirection number given also does not respond 01189393078. Another reason for myself unable to defend or dispute the actions of the Parking Service Officer. Maybe an image of a car and text Reply 2 h Booker Lewendon NOT MY CAR, Traffic Wardens say Okay to park there, Council says no. Sends out Telephone numbers that don't connect. Don't take notice or consideration of Traffic wardens. Taking a photo of a car that does not belong to me? How many times do they do this? Dial a friend? present a petition? Council can hear you? lol. Breaking data protection laws willy-nilly.
Nice and new but not all tenants are as lucky as these people to get such a nice modern brand new apartment and have disgusting council flats full of disrepair issues, pest infestations and antisocial behaviour including noisy neighbours etc. Lucky them. But unfair to other council tenants like myself.
I recently came across your RU-vid channel and I must say, I was impressed by its visually appealing design. Your content is excellent, and the video quality is top-notch. It's clear that there is a high demand for videos like yours. However, I couldn't help but notice a few areas that could need some attention, such as incomplete SEO, rank tags, and tag volume. There may be other areas that require improvement as well. My name is Robiulla, and I'm an experienced Freelancer with over 3 years of expertise in RU-vid promotion and video SEO. I'm confident that I can help optimize your RU-vid videos for better visibility and overall performance.
I f you read the email you'd have seen ''The opening of dry-side facilities at Rivermead in July will be followed in summer 2024 by the two new swimming pools, alongside splash pads for younger users.''.
An awful lot of space with everyone catered for at the sacrifice of the green bowlers - mainly the silver-haired brigade - whose pleas to keep the bowling green fell on deaf ears. Those who have lived and worked and paid their taxes to the Borough for years. Disgraceful, disrespectful and disappointing.
