Is that better quality than it appears. In pictures it doesn't look very sturdy if you get my drift. When i was in Ranger bat we had some guys get camillus switchblades. But it was a who you know deal.
Quality and sturdiness in terms of what? Latest super steel? No. Sharp and easy to resharpen? Yes. Indestructible handle material? Yes. Solid lock up? Yes.
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge don't really care about the steel. Super steels are just marketing for people that don't understand steels. I used a camillus electrician knife for years. You know the one with the flat screwdriver and blade. Is the colonal knife as sturdy as that. That knife has a high price for what it is. Especially when boker AK is $45
I just had Wyatt Hines rehandle my TM gen 1 1988 with the coffin handle like the Laredo..Amazing job..not sure about the cable tang on the Laredo mixed reviews on that...both are next level..imo 😎👊🏻
Still made the same way they were in WW2 and the complaint is that the hook is way better at cutting your way out of a parachute if your hanging in a tree or some where and they want the hook to open automatically and then blade to open by pulling and they can't get them made that way lol. Or so I have read.
No, this isn't the first. I suppose it is the 14th if they numbered their models in order. This came out in the mid 1950s. Randall started making knives in 1938 I believe a few thousand Models 1 and 2 saw action in WW2.

Excellent knives! I've had the Prodigy for years! I put the Strong arm in the console of my wife's car ( it can be counted on and trusted) as her back up and just got the serrated Prodigy from Chicago Knife Works! Gerber definitely knocked it out of the park with those knives ❤!!!
