Submarine Sonar crew: hey mate we found something far us Sonar Crew 2: Oh what is it? Sonar crew 1: i spotted something in the radar far us Sonar crew 2: Alright lets tell captain. Meanwhile.... Sonar Crew: Captain! Captain: any stuff you found in the sonar?? Sonar Crew: yes Captain: Tell me Sonar Crew: we have a group of scuba divers found in the sonar and its dangerous for them to get hit by our submarine ping! -to be continued
I am an Ex-sonar ping and I can confirm that this was not in fact a ping but a underwater band of mermaids wanting to trade gold for your spare Ketchup packets
Keep the down votes going, this is clearly a misleading title clickbait. The ping heard was either a nearby boat pinging for fish or a dive system noise. NO SUB will activate sonar anywhere near diving areas. PERIOD. Unless you're diving in an active war zone during a sub battle in the open ocean.
Former navy sonar tech. Active pings are a range of tones in sequence. Not a single ping. Most likely you are hearing a fathometer. Measures depth. Still a sonar but not nec. Military.
Can I use a small clip of this video for my educational video? It’s to raise awareness and educate the public on how loud sounds are under water. Thank you.
It’s not the constant little beep, listen careful around 1:23-1:26, you hear that three tone sonar ping faintly in the background, and the little beep is heard at the same time but clearly from someone nearby
Look guys. I’m a fruit bat and I know a few things about echo location. And this is bottle nose dolphin mother telling her son to grab her a pack of smokes from the store.
Sounds like SQS-53C for me. But either they are pinging with very low power, it's tens or even hundreds of Kilometers away or they do directional ping. Because you can faintly hear FM sweep (Frequency Modulation, that first iconic sweep) And after the sweep you can hear that very unique chirp which is omnidirectional (that's the reason why you hear it louder than the first sweep) I ain't sonar tech but i'm a Ham radio operator and i can tell you that sonar works like a radar but without the radiowaves since water blocks most of the rf but carries the sound much better.
I like how this idiot just leaves the video up with totally false information, even though he's been proven wrong a hundred times. This is how misinformation spreads and idiots prevail
If you where to hear this sonar under a submarine, which I am assuming is a SQS-26CX, Which the source of this sound sounds like I 3 meter long aluminum can, Not only would you die within a hundredth, or less of a second, your brain will literally melt, So this is not possible, Even if it is below 135 decibels. which is the point for ear protection, You be stunned and may drown, So completely cap, But cool video
"if it was me donkey, you'd be dead" and so does the submarine do as the shrek do. if it was a military vessel pinging you, you would either know it or not know it. if you aren't terrified or dead then it was not from a military ship. they ping hard
If you are diving and you hear sonar pings surface asap because sonar is loud enough to kill you if you are close enough. But it could be fake idk you might be fine you might die
I was a sonar engineer in the Navy for 22 years and I can attest and confirm that is DEFINITELY a sub. From my years of study, I can deduce that it is a Russian nuclear sub! You guys a very lucky to be alive
Man you're actually kind of stupid not that really offensive they didn't say what type of submarine it was you don't know what type of submarine it was it could be military or it could be a small research sub a lot of subs go between 5,000 and 6,000 ft normally the pressure is kind of strong down there I'm sorry for correcting you but please get stuff checked if you think that's perfectly fine that is a submarine not a lot of other things make that type of noise
I am a lead submarine engineer and do submarine scientist stuff plus submarine captain and a 5 star general submarine division of the navy and admiral of all the worlds navies on earth period plus a shrimp boat captain of bubba gumps boat AND the inventor of the U boat, and i can tell you for 100% certainty i am definitely not watching this video to hear something that probably isnt a submarine
