Do you have any figures on the range, with the standard battery and also with the extra 250wh expansion. Being so light for an electric bike, i.e. almost 50% of the e-MTB they do, I would imagine that the range would exceed those, i.e. if the e-MTB does 45-50 miles, then we could assume a range of 70+ miles for this and how much more with the expansion?

I’m enjoying the bike so far ru-vid.comUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
Hello & greetings from the UK. For anyone interested, I bought one of these, brand new in 2012, as a complete beginner road cyclist. Granted....other than the frame, rims & shifters, i have pretty much upgraded everything on it, or purely out of OCD 'colour co-ordinated' tbe whole thing. BUT, i promise NO lies...... Today, this GIANT DEFY 2 bike has passed its 10,000 mile mark. Granted, it took a while, i know, but that isn't the point im trying to make. Because of this bike, i am now COMPLETELY addicted to cycling, yes its old now, & so am i (51), but this, apparently 'cheap', ....'beginner' ....little bike, has NEVER let me down. It doesn't squeek, grind, skip gears, or make a SOUND. It has taken me places I couldn't have DREAMED i would EVER be able to ride to, & I wouldn't swap it for the world!!! Thank you GIANT!!!!!
Hi there have this bike wow its very light and fast I've changed the tube in the tyres for latex one is very very fast can I disc brakes on this bike or modify it so it takes disc brakes please. Leave comments. Please
