I love to bowl. I love to mess with technology. I love to graphic design. Most important, I love to have fun.

Right lane, gearbox oil leak on curtain, 10 scissor going bad, rake drags pin deck, deck height too low, cushion/rake linkage out of adjustment. Left lane, rake drags pin deck, bad 3 pin scissor. Ive seen enough, mechanic needs to get busy.
I tried looking up Castaways in Cal City and only found this. I lived there when I was small, but my father lived there his first 40 years and saw a lot. One thing he told me a couple times is that a musician named Wayne Cochrane played there more than once, and a huge brawl occured one night during his performance.
Why use a Brunswick pinsetter and AMF pins?? Meh don’t get that it’s weird over here I the UK as most of AMF lanes use AMF 82-90XL pinsetters but Brunswick pins
WitheredForce4 It’s dust that builds up on the short turret belt. You can also hear the pit conveyor as well. Both can be eliminated with proper maintenance.
On top of that if you here that loud beeping in the backoground, its called a turret whine and it only occurs when machines are unmanaged after some time so it's clear that these machines aren't managed.
Both lanes the rake cam adjustment is off. rake board rubbing the pindeck also left lane has bad 7 pin scissors or missing pad. right lane cushion follower links need oil.also 10 pin scissors right lane not to good loose or worrn pads.
@Bryan Fuscarino I'm factory trained and 27 years. They need to start with the frame adjustment and replace all the worn parts, then every adjustment in the book. Sadly it may not be the mechanic's fault. Most centers spend just enough to keep the pinsetters going up and down. It is amazing how well pinsetter's run slapped on the kickback with no adjustment at all.
Not only does the right lane need some extra pins or perhaps a good shaker board replacement, it needs to be looked at to stop the shaky pins. The left lane needs a good rake adjustment. It scrapes the deck every time it sweeps. Don't be lazy, take two minutes to adjust your rake lift rods. Please respect this amazing machine and let it perform the way it is supposed to.
One bowling center that I used to bowl at (closed long ago) had A2s running at A speed, never knew why, but it looked ok. An for a while Canadian 5-pin, Brunswick made a 5-pin version of the A2, worked in somewhat the same way, but it had a 8270 style distributor with A2 deck sheilds and table. :)
+12-Bit Mike My son Jackson really wants a 4K camera that goes up to 2160p! My son Jackson really wants a tripod that can hold a 4K 2160p camera. What are the best deals on 4K 2160p cameras and tripods that can hold a 4K 2160p camera?
+12-Bit Mike My son Jackson uses a iPad Mini 2 to record. But my son really wants to record 2 lanes at a bowling center. My son Jackson can't do that. How do I do it?
***** Sounds a bit like the local bowling alley here. When I was young, there was a mechanic called Tassus here. He was very friendly and he always knew who you was. Then he became old and he was going for other countries, so we got another mechanic. He is also friendly, but he just fixes the machines so they work. (We have GS-X). One thing though, is that he is quite interested in pinsetters, so maybe he would like some A-2s instead? We had AMF 82-70 when he started here, so that is probably what he know most about, but he didn't like them due to how many failures we had with them! :)
The reason why the deck is sitting on the lane so long is because either the scotch yoke on the 2:1 shaft was put on backwards or the scotch yoke is set to low.
***** I have always had the dream of having two pinsetters at home! Brunswick A-2's but if not, I would choose the GS-X. All cool pinsetters, but the A-2's are the best! :D
***** That's really sad. Also, someone told me that Brunswick were bought by QubicaAMF, but I don't want to believe that because I don't like AMF as much as Brunswick. :(
+12-Bit Mike I'm actually going to a White Sox game today, I should be going tomorrow though ($1.50 games all day) and next Sunday I should be good to go.
