Pretty sure there’s a 2nd piece of parchment - you have the right piece, and if you find and use the left piece, the completed note gives the clue about crowning the white queen
After dealing with the chef kid, I think you can remove the santa outfit by using the empty sack… also, I think you need to use the body armour in order to wear it
That's not actually an enemy in the blocks near the end of Act 2's Crystal Egg, but a continue monitor :). The graphic in the monitor is actually of Sonic running, :). Good playthrough, one of my favourite childhood games this.
@@skeletoncrusader I don't know if my comment was deleted as I left a link there to Sonic Retro, but if you check that website and look for "item boxes" or "continues" on the wiki part you'll find the full graphic and information about it. :)
It has been a long time, I don't even remember this mission that you kept saying this is your favorite mission and now I know why. Good times. Medal of Honor Underground was the first game with the on-sidecar-shooter before Call of Duty 3. And thanks for showing the glitch too!
@@skeletoncrusader I've seen let's plays of all the games. I should play New Nightmare too. Been on my list for a while now. But too many games and not enough time.
You can't use the M79 on Mara as the mission briefing say something about not using explosives, (so the M79 or grenades.) :) Just in case you never got around to checking that out.
The Riot Shotgun definitely the best gun to use in this level. I played it on a Dualshock Controller for easier aiming since the crosshair stays on and get to straff while avoiding getting shot at.
I can practically hear your frustrations from the random enemy spawning from behind and I understand how it feels even though I played it on Easy/Normal Mode.
This is a great adventure and one of the most memorable. It is a shame you didn’t pick up the brass tiger charm, as it leads to a comedy tirade at the barman in the Red Dragon Inn.
They are not goblins they are ORCS lol. I do not get why heavenly shield so expensive vs crystal or legendary shield. Ah I see it was the best for hawk man I believe it was the case in the original game too. Weird.
All that water reminds me of the monsterboy on the Genesis, there was a giant water level in it. Lucky sword really good at making money. Daily reminder that Tiger man better then Lion man despite MS version being the coolest one. honestly knowing how hardcore was the ninja dungeon in the original cheesing this hack with crystal equipment sounds like an OK move.
lol at really lucky then you fall and suddenly unfortunate. Really liking what they did to the game so many new caverns and even sections in the air. Honestly wow the original was GOAT but indeed short. I never understood why there was a falling music in the original. I mean it was only used once in this dungeon... just why lol.
Is it just me, or did they increase the difficulty of the bosses, in the Sega Master System port of the game? The bosses seem to die alot faster, in the MSX version.
@@justinfothe2199 They changed and improved a lot of things. One thing I like over the MS version is the way all the areas are connected more. The MS version is a little more linear.
@skeletoncrusader Not sure if you already know this or not, but if you hold down the attack button, Kelesis will keep continuously attacking for you, to help make it a little bit easier on your thumb.
I recall on the MS version you could multifire the sword but if you held down the button the sword would hit multiple time despite staying there. So yeah I think just holding for one second then once the sword retract you hold again is the lazy but efficient way. Most likely not as strong as multi firing but I dunno.
Another cave are just bonus dungeons I guess they are only worth it when you do not want to grind and have enough bible to make it worth your time. I dunno if the rewards are repeatable. 24:45 honestly the devs are so clever this hole allows you to bypass the need for aqua boots and still is required to finish the game. Really clever. This is what I like about this series same on the Master System any games would be like hey this is water you cannot walk on it you have to swim or you drown. Then the games goes even cooler, these are trees you can't just walk over them in video games except in Golvellius you totally can, we at Compile do not care about your puny video game logic we make our own logic. Find me another series that has you walk through (over) trees instead of them being impossible to pass or only possible when you destroy them. I will wait.
Random Tomb Raider comment, but apparently one of the unfinished business levels you start out after Lara slides out, after the last level. Doesn't seem like there are any story implications so far in what I've watched. I'm not really playing it as the game itself was enough. Oh and I wa sjust curious about metal gear since I know it was on the MSX and this is an MSX game and you did MGS.
@@jeanbob1481 That would work! For many people, fighting enemies is not their personal calling, so selling their energy to Dina and having it replenished by a Randar is a safe and lucrative trade! But making that the basis of a playthrough might deviate from the intended purpose of the game design - although a game where you primarily open up holes then climb into them looking for herbs, clues, or a Bible has some odd thematic concepts to begin with! 🤣
The Master System master trick was skipping first shield and then getting it back much later on. Because the second theme is one of the best in the entire game, the third being pretty shit. So much better to hear the cool ass second theme for a while because it takes quite a while to reach the second shield upgrade so you are stuck hearing the third theme so long. On my first playthrough I got stuck so long on the marsh wondering wtf was going on and hearing the music was annoying as hell... Until I realized the upgrade needed to finish the marsh where in ocean world. Would have been easy with a playthrough but honestly this game is so much more fun with zero help. The music you are talking about( the one in this game when you get the first sword AKA the first theme change so I guess second overworld theme) is the fourth map theme on the master system, it is the one you get after getting the best shield as you said (or basically 3 updated weapons total 2 shields one sworD) Game looks good so far but honestly it is all desert and not much variety it seems the MS is just overall better then again this is a different experience definitely worth playing.
It's certainly not as good graphically as the Master System version but the gameplay is still there. The other game on MSX2 is graphically similar to the Master System version if you want more of that.
I find it funny that on the MS version the whole point of the quest was to find a MEA herb to cure the king but they are so easy to find I guess they had to put in the princess getting kidnapped by Golvellius. Interesting that you can explore the third boss area in the MS you could only do that with marsh and ocean world. If I recall you could explore crawky and part of the other boss area before killing Crawky.
