However, I am going to redo all of these videos properly as I did these before really mastering the game, and just tried it on a whim. It took some annoyance though! Thanks! There's a few tips in the comments although I think I mentioned them in the end of this. One Winged Angel was absolutely NOTHING in terms of difficulty compared to bonds of friendship, combat sim trial. Jesus! There's guides for all the Legendary Combat Sims on here if you need 'em, I am late to Plat it though as I am ceaselessly reminded. So, sorry if you have already and thanks again!

@@wildvalentine thank you but i actually got the plat at the end of march and i’m a speedrunner (i currently hold the world record for fastest bonds of friendship run lol). I think Bonds is way easier than this but then again, i cleared it like 300 times to get the world record so maybe its easy just for me idk

That Brumal Form + ATB Ward; Cloud, Aerith and Yuffie combo was the one I saw that sort of reminded me of my Top Secrets build from Remake; was that you perchance? Weiss was an utter joke. All of the fights in Remake were in comparison to Rebirth. Now everyone is complaining saying this Platinum is too difficult, etc. It's like yes darling, it's because they dull things down these days and DON'T, do not remove MY PIANO EITHER!!!! I will be annoyed. I expect Emerald and Ruby to be something that we haven't seen SINCE the Original, it's just everyone wanting games to be so simple and easy these days, Square hindered themselves for years since XIII trying to cater for Western gamers when it is in fact what we liked about them in the first place. We finally get a semblance of the game we desired and still nobody is satisfied. I'll be bit's Final Fantasy they I refused to look until I'd completed them myself. I think Rebirth is SO on the right track, the last game I have high hopes for and the series going forward. So, have you ever done the Exaclibur II + 100% of FFIX? I'll definitely be looking at your build for Bonds of Friendship because Odin was NOT having it from me, I also panicked because it was ten fights long and that kept making me forget to parry then forget which attacks, (such as the purple ones), to dodge etc. I have racked up 390 hours now. That was for the Platinum. I want to do a whole playthrough... which I've started, but I feel like I should go from the beginning i.e. Remake but it's weird I jut want to play Rebirth again and again. So, I started something completely different RE8 that I have had my eye on thought I would never play because I hate first person shooters etc. Luckily it's now in Third. I'm going ton do a playthrough of IX and the Original VII, do them all may as well. As if you've never played IX it's one of THE BEST out there. If you like Remake and Rebirth, Star Ocean Last Hope is something you would really like. All the Star Ocean games in general really. If you haven't played the original FF's obviously VII is probably the best jumping in point. Although, some people can't bear the graphics, which... meh? IX really is amazing though. it's the creator of FF's favourite for a reason it is like all of them wrapped into one and tackles deeply profound issues and complexities of life and existence. I have played them all from IV to XII on a cycle since I was a kid, with Star Ocean and Chrono Trigger thrown in there. Chrono Trigger too that's f**king amazing.

Thanks, honestly though once you get used to doing it on top note speed it is so much easier than any of the slower versions! I would practice with On Our Way and go from there. It's so hard on the slow versions because the notes aren't singular they all come up at once, it isn't in rhythm and it's hell!!!

Hey, yeah you have to really 100% the game and do everything, complete the collection at Jonny's hotel which is tied 7-Star hotel trophy. I would say it's a LOT of hours. I have guides on here for the combat sim and the colosseum and my playthroughs show how to 100% each side quest. Although, some things you will have to do that you can't do in a singular playthrough. If you look through Jonny's collection it should tell you the things you are missing. Good luck! It's a task to say the absolute least!

@@wildvalentine yeh I figured can’t wait to try that shit again. The combat simulator and the colosseum have some right ballache battles. I’ve competed the game on hard so most of the side quests and intel I’ve done it’s just those really. Thanks I’ll have a look at your walkthroughs to see if it can help me in those battle

@@Limebradley They should help, I probably should redo the Musclehead Coliseum now, once you have completed the Brutal and Legendary Combat Simulation Trials, you have such a deeper grasp on how to play and the mechanics it becomes a LOT easier. People forgot how hard the Final Fantasy games have always been and are meant to be, they are more designed for completionists than trophy hunters and these days people want to be able to just have their hands held and do everything instantly, way point go here do thing, not too hard, etc. I love the new games really.

You can get as many as you like! I just farmed them from the King Tonberry in the Corel Desert. I have an enhanced one too which adds plus 60 to Vitality and Spirit, plus as you know they protect against Instant Death and... Slow I think? Happy farming!

I will have the last song sheet today, I just need to do the Bonds of Friendship with Zack and that's it, I attempted it once yesterday but, my setup was appalling, so I need to revise I did To be a Hero with Sephy instead. I used a broken trick through I think I may redo it I felt like a bit of a hack... That said Bonds of Friendship is a hellish price to pay enough! Hopefully I shall have it this eve... whether I can get an S - Rank or not WELL! I have seen that song at top speed and it looked terrifying, it's One Winged Angel Though, I'll master it if it kills me!

Seriously though, I really do appreciate that. Although, I need to learn how to block attacks more efficiently. I wanted to do the fight in a way that wouldn't require looking at other people's setups. I now know the Yuffie, Cloud and Aerith method is the currently the most efficient... but I simply can't find it in my heart to bench the exalted queen Tifa. Plus, her, Nanaki or Barret's ability to instantly transport a character out of the line of damage is extremely useful. Which I should have utilized more, that said Tifa has the second Highest Magic stat in the game if you equip the Strength <-> Magic Swap Materia so using Tifa over Cloud in that strategy may be more beneficial if she gets a weapon with trade off at level 9. Before people start I do not hate Aerith... CLEARLY! Or indulge in shipping wars. The very notion of Cloti and Clerith make me wish to will myself out of human existence. While, I hold certain opinions based on my deep with relationship with the OG's lore, both are women within their own right and certainly do not need a man to justify their likability factors. Hating the other out of spite is childish and base. I also didn't want to create an utterly broken strategy, which might be hard for people to follow and these tend to rely on the luck, or extreme over analysis of the enemies move sets, Materia layouts that I find abhorrent and overanalyses of enemy mechanics. As I'm doing a degree, I simply do not have the time to do so. Once I have finished, I will learn how to better edit videos as I'd love to focus on critiques and extensive lore exploration in video essays... Of all the replies in the world that was... A LOT! I think it is in her Folio Skill tree, a few get it in their skill tree others have to equip it as a Weapon Ability. The most important skill here is Trade off on Cloud, which fills the MP gauge on damage intake, meaning he can cast Manawall constantly.

No, Dynamic is not Hard Mode, Dynamic is for players who want enemies to be at there level when they first playthrough, instead of Normal or Easy where enemies are at a fixed level. I chose Dynamic because I knew I'd be doing everything and prefer a challenge so that's what I did. Hard Mode is... more difficult. I'm not sure actually what the difference would be?

@@wildvalentine i presume the hard mode would only be available on new game plus? The dynamic one is the other setting.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Honestly though, if you struggle with it really give it a try on the fastest setting and it is so much easier. When the game forces you to play at the slowest note speed those two times, I found it extremely difficult. Your brain just goes for it, I think most rhythm games seem daunting at first and then once you pick it up fast. I feel like the mistake people make is going for slower note speeds. If you had never played the original I imagine you'd be a bit screwed. Still I hope Square doesn't take this minigame out I love it, so many hate it though. I just need to unlock One Winged Angel Now, I just need to finish Rulers of The Other Worlds on the Combat Sim.

Hi yes, on Normal Easy or Dynamic, you don't get the full rewards the first playthrough, you may as well do quests for which characters you enjoy. That or do everything depending on how you want to your first playthrough to be. Note though you can only do the Proto-Relics Quests once the reward is the same regardless. However, as for Side Quests definitely reset them because as far as I'm aware you only get the Folios as rewards by completing the Side Quests in Hard Mode. I am sure I read this.

The second one is a reward in the Musclehead Colosseum.

It should be in one of the videos as one of the rewards. I'm just about to finish hard mode, do the combat simulator after Seventh Seal, then the Legendary battles then I am done. I don't like using the Gottendamarung though, it feels cheap as fuck.

2 Celestial Bangles as there is one in Dynamic, or Normal I imagine and one again in hard. It's same Chest in Cosmo Canyon when you're starting the Trials with Red and Barrett above a door. I think I only have 2 ATB boosts... If you mean gauges then United Focus but I imagine you know that.

It literally spams it repeatedly in these fights, although a slight glitch helped with the Malboro and Jabbawok fight; it got stuck in a high corner. I can't remember which fight it is it helped a lot though. I need to redo all these properly with a better setup and put the loadouts and the beginning (not the end) WITH commentary. Seriously FUCK Swan Song though!
