How did u get pokerstars to give u good deposit amount? I am a uni student and I cannot get them to give me anything above $150 per month deposit limit. They request me to have a full time job but it seems like ur young and dont have a full time career
@@jeongjinpoker they also blocked player to player transfer on my account once they realised I was exploiting it as well. And they say they will never reinstate it until I send them proof of income. I guess they just dont want people to play on their already sinking platform.
@@joonwonsong4081 honestly don't know then sorry. Pokerstars is fully aware of my situation and I don't have any other limitations other than the standard ones in place for my age bracket.
I prefer DTO for drilling. For more generalised study I prefer GTOW. I have subscriptions to both but I understand it's not reasonable to assume everyone will buy two seperate subscriptions. Want simplified, executable sims to drill against? DTO Want to build more complex, custom strategies? GTOW All an opinion though.
Lol got some potential to make some humorous vids. Are you playing Pokerstars ROW or one of the fenced markets? Do they not have blitz or w/e the turbo tables are called for ps at this stake? Given how bored you clearly get waiting for hands I feel like youd really enjoy that format
yeah it's the global pool. i absolutely despise zoom, it's a rake trap. especially playing full time now, it's important that I play the highest EV spots. for me personally, putting zoom in there is no bueno for my overall strategy. BUT for the RU-vid vids, it maybe better to reduce downtime. but we'll see. thanks for the comment.
by your accent Im guessing youre playing ROW. I think a lot more similar players to yourself play these stakes on GG + rake race. Stars is pretty nitty
Surprised to find myself featured in a video 😮 I play under ‘saynomore’ (and a few others) but only just ‘threetwoone’ now (can’t be bothered with the anonymity). Good luck and see you at the tables!
@@nickkk_lee I don't really play live to be honest. But I will hopefully be moving up to Coventry and closer to a casino. Feel free to contact me on discord ✌️
Hye Jeong! 41:50 official rake for NL100 + is 6% with €3 Cap (unchanged since July 27, 2021 according to Unibet support chat) I also play on this platform only as NL10 and NL25, so many of the situations may not match, but I would say that as I watched your videos, there are some characteristics that stand out, such as the fact that they stab much more when you check OOP to IP flatter (even with big bets having a merging/weak range) and the second conclusion would be that bluffs on the river, even bet bet JAM -line, would not really be indicated here, because, as in your last video, he paid you with the 4th pair or something like that. Whether or not you agree with the two conclusions, pls tell me! or other deviations that you would recommend! Good luck and all the best!
Early on, where you squeeze ako v utg and utg +1 and 345 flop especially in these games where to many random suited aces and aqo hands continue. Ako is a value bet on the flop you can go many sizings
@@jeongjinpoker I think what a lot of people wonder is what qualifies you as a professional poker player. Since you are only playing 100/200NL on a few tables, your hourly is likely pretty low and insufficient to pay rent etc. and make a living (and since you're only 18 you probably still live at your parents place, which is ofc totally ok and expected). So you aren't grinding for a living yet, nor have you proven any big success in poker (probably haven't even grinded out a 6 figure BR yet) which would make you a "professional poker player". So I'd recommend you changing your status to "aspiring pro" in the future to prevent hatecomments :). It could indeed come across a bit cheesy when you call yourself pro and are grinding a few 0.5$/1$ and 1$/2$ regular tables (this is coming from a pokerpro myself grinding mid- to highstakes games live and online). But I really admire your level of play at your age and there's no doubt you'll be great in a few years! I was in your shoes too a few years ago and at your age I definitely wasn't as good as you are right now in poker. Also, I really advice you to not play GTO tunnel-vision. GTO is only a guideline, the basics, which should be always in your backhead (but for that you need to know every GTO line, I suggest studying by bucketing hands/boards). Real money comes from exploiting your opponents. Especially against recreationals. Your main goal should be to make the most or lose the least in every hand, not to follow GTO the closest.
Hello mate, nice video it's also nice to see someone that you play against posting a video. It doesn't happend often lol. I would be extremly carefull when playing against f567hj at 28:17 he is a real nitty player with a lot of small sizing even with the nuts. Also would love to hear your though about the checking range OOP with a flat IP(You open CO and someone flat BTN for exemple). I also have a strat of checking range when I have been flat but the pool on unibet is really stab heavy when flatting so I considering changing my strat to include a lot more stabing OOP and I have inplemented a lot more XR even vs big size that a lot more weak than exepected. Like I have seen some reggish player bet huge with garbage on flop when you X OOP so I had me considering that checking range is somewhat suboptimal vs this pool.
Hey! Were you in the video? Yeah I think I actually agree with you, my approach probably underperforms a fair amount especially vs some of the weaker players. Thanks for the comment!
Yeah I'm in the video table 2 top right "CantBreakMe" at 30:00 I've Seen you at the table a few Time but we didn't play that much against each over.. I've added you on discord and would love discuss strategy or the pool with you sometimes.
Just for advice: I wouldn't take coaching by someone who just started off playing pro and is sitting 100NL - you'd be better off watching free content (for example "play it smart"/"yolen cohen" etc. on youtube and other training sites)
yo bro, i have been studying poker since i was 18 and can just now beat 2nl 2yrs later, how long have you been studying/playing for so that at 18 you can already beat 100nl, thats honestly insane good job
Hey mate, your channel just got recommended to me. Don't focus too much on what ppl said about your age or your level. Let the time and your consistency answering for you. ;) Gl
Hey buddy. As someone who’s been successful playing mostly online full time for the last 5 years, I would recommend learning plo as well. Not only will it help your NL game, but you’ll find there’s lots of action from recs, more fish and whales in comparison to NL and less worry about RTA.
@@jeongjinpoker good luck man, you’ll find as time goes on it’s not the technical playing ability that’s a problem it’s all of the other intangibles like good discipline with bankroll and managing your emotions, seat/game selection, maintaining proper physical and mental health, etc. those are what separates consistent long term winners and the flash in a pan guys who mostly end up going busto or leaving poker as a career path.
@@macklems5552 When I go on my first big downswing playing full time - I'll come back to this message. I've gone on nasty downswings before but I know it will be far different when I'm also trying to live off the money I'm burning. thanks for the wise words, do you have discord or anything we can keep in touch on?
Hey! I think pretty much the same as everyone. else. Started with preflop charts, pot odds, basic maths like calculating equity, implied odds, reverse implied odds, MDF etc.. In the beginning I also consumed a lot of poker online from RU-vid. I think it's worth noting I surrounded my self in poker, it was actually a really unhealthy obsession at one point so when everything you see and hear is just poker, you are bound to absorb information faster. Which is what I think happened with me. Then after a little while of playing cash - I started to looking into stuff like GTO Wizard and DTO POKER to work on my postflop game. I used GTOw a little bit then eventually ended up using DTO as my main study tool. Nowadays that's exclusively what I use. In terms of how I study the game now - I essentially just study sims. You try and pull heuristics away from sims, then when you are more comfortable with those heuristics you then start to look into more depth and build an advanced thought process. If you are interested, have a look at some of my study videos, you might get what I mean :D Thanks for commenting!
Hey just found your channel subbed right away. Was wondering if you’re able to share your hourly rate? I’m 19 years old myself and have been studying for 2-3 years and have pretty good knowledge. Always crush my home games. First of all are u in the u.s. Because I couldn’t find any sites for under 21? Also which stakes do you think are the easiest to crush the tables?
Hey! I'm in the UK where you can play poker at 18. So unfortunately I know very little about US sites. Only been playing full time for a little bit so I don't know my hourly rate just yet. I have bb/100 estimates for each stakes but that's about it. In terms of stakes for me the easiest is 100nl on this site. Can beat this stake for 5bb/100. Thanks for commenting!
you really need to check out some variance calculators, there is so much variance in like 1 yr of poker play, you can either make 20k or 150k with the same winrate, so hourly doesnt really exist in poker
@@phrog6073 yeah it's trivial information but people like to know which is understandable. I've been on a 150k+ hand downswing so yes you are completely right.
There were some absolute brain damaged specimens in the comments section of last video. So, to clear up a few things. I am a full time online poker player - and I am 18 years old. I have been playing online and studying for multiple years. I used to study + play poker for ridiculous hours even on school days. I built up a roll from 5nl all by myself, with no staking, to playing 200nl and then was making enough to play full time. I have essentially no school grades because I sacrificed it to study and learn poker. The speculation is pretty reasonable but the way some of you dim fucks went about questioning is so embarrassing. Fortunately you guys are not very hard to prove wrong. On top of that, I am an official coach for DTO.POKER + I have multiple fellow professionals that can attest to my dedication to poker for the last few years. I have been super active in the DTO community for years now but being underage for the majority of the time I decided it would be best to keep out of the broader public eye. I now don't have to tip toe around poker, hence why I can now upload content. Comment down below what you guys want to see more of. Do we prefer study videos? Or live plays? What stakes do you want to see next? 5NL? 400NL? 50NL? Please like and subscribe and comment! It's good for the algorithm.
love this, im 22 and just finishing uni studying economics and obsessed with poker, so looking to learn from you!. sent friend request to discord if you have a group or anything :)
Hey, I am also trying to do the same but cant beat 5nl yet. Do you have any tips on how to study towards consitently beating micro stakes? Love the channel, I would suggest a mix of gameplay and educational videos
@@00Akarsh00 Hey! Beating microstakes is generally a case of being tight and disciplined (making good hands and value betting aggressively). However, it's not plug and play, every spot/scenario is different. It's difficult to say exactly what you need to do because everyone's situation is different and I don't actually know what level you're at. I would say to use trainers such as GTO Wizard or DTO POKER to study and track progress. Additionally, when you're starting off quality > quantity, so don't play too many tables. If you're actually putting in hours studying and being disciplined at the tables, you're already past the 90% of players in that player pool. It honestly shouldn't be too difficult to beat. Please also remember, you probably don't have a very big sample size of hands. So just because you're losing money doesn't necessarily mean you're not beating the games. Think about how you're PLAYING not the RESULTS. So be patient, poker is a long term venture. Good luck at the tables!
Hey! Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it. 1) I charge a standard rate of $75/hr (£60/hr) 2) I use DTO because I just prefer it. Although I do dabble around in GTOw, it's not terrible but I'd rather use DTO. I have no financial involvement with DTO other than the contracted coaching work I do for the RU-vid channel and my affiliate code. (see below) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oa3Hz7_R-xM.html So I can definitely post and use whatever software I want. I honestly just really like DTO however. As well as having a really good relationship with Dom and the DTO team. I think sooner or later though I will make some study videos using GTOw though to try and expand my audience.
Join the DTO discord server and check how long I've been playing and grinding haha. It's crazy you write this with no research. I'm also an official coach for DTO.POKER. I can promise you they don't just take on random 18 year olds for the sake of it.
I play full time lol. I am also an official coach for DTO.POKER. You can check out their RU-vid channel and you will see. Come join the DTO discord, you'll see how active I've been for the last 3 years. It's been a non stop grind. Been grinding extremely hard since I was 14 - 15. I am putting out some 200nl/400nl explain videos next week. The only thing stopping me was a few logisticical issues. But to be honest, you are completely right to be skeptical in this day and age. Like I said I will be putting out play and explain vids in the next week or so. There won't be any need for doubt sooner or later. Thanks for dropping by.
