I’m not sure what’s the best way to sync with studio one. I just run the output of my MPC key 61 into my audio interface. Thanks for the comment, I really do appreciate it.
I enjoy finding other music producer's channels like yours. Very good song. It sounds a little like the old-school style, which had that original sound where live bands were the thing.
Hello from Detroit and salute Sir. Even though you didn't make any beats in this video I still found it inspiring. Thanks for sharing your history and journey with us.
Listen, I respect what you doing but you talk too much man get busy show us something with the step-by-step process and stop doing all that talking and get busy. I’ve been playing church for 25 years. I think you got too much equipment and too much money to buy equipment, OK you are OK and playing a little bit but can you really play into church and play every Sunday? I’ve been playing every day for the last 25 years and I got playing on Sunday. Get paid for it imaging on your videos are very enticing, but then when I get on your videos, you talk too much man, get busy
Went to a pawn shop found a 61 key Casio LK-100 connected it to my MPC Touch (original). Now I need to find someone on RU-vid who has lessons on creating sample packs for MPC.....I have samples going back when I was using Cakewalk.
The key 61 is not the typical keyboard workstation and should not be compared to the Fantom and other keyboards like it. Its a MPC in keyboard form. More like an advanced Ensoniq ASR 10. Just my opinion
Enjoyed your video I subscribed! I have studio one 4 I rarely use it tho. When you record your key61 into it are you recording the audio left and right audio straight into it or midi thanks
Very quiet on the sound level. Thanks for the video though. Going crazy trying to decide on my next studio setup. I loved the MPC ONE PLUS (eventually). Gave it to my son to get him into music. Now, I'm back to nothing more or less. There just isn't a perfect workstation even in 2024. Fantom lack sample editing features. MPC has the best sample editing tools and feature but lacks the instrument quality of all the others. Nautilus is wonderful, but I HATE the screen and UI. Way too much on such a tiny screen. K2700 is like an alien from another planet. Yamaha WAY overpriced for what they offer. To date, I truly believe Key 61 is by FAR the biggest bang for the buck! I'm going one step beyond though and holding out for the MPC X Se and most likely will pick up a Hydra Deluxe as my midi controller keyboard. Add the Model 16 Tascam, got a killer setup. Think someone mentions the integra. Smart to have in the mix with an Ipad. (useless without ipad FYI). I use to have the Jupiter 80. THAT was the killer keyboard but had no workstation features.
You would be better served by buying a synthesizer if you want to record in Studio One. I don’t know how an MPC helps you. I record and arrange in the MPC and mix in Studio One or Ableton Live. If Studio One is your preferred place to record and arrange a song, I just don’t see you having a need for the MPC if you’re not benefiting from the workflow. There are better sounds to be had from a Fantom 0 or MODX at the same price as a Key 61. Or stick with a MIDI controller and some VSTs. MPCs are for people who like the MPC workflow.
@@matthewgaines10I enjoy creating and flipping sounds with my key 61. My whole sound system goes through both of my samplers and back into studio one. That affords me the opportunity to record any sound or sample that I want. I’ve always used samplers in my workflow, from using the roland s-10, ensoniq eps16 plus to the asr-10. It’s what I do. I also like doing my own sound design. I really enjoy the challenge of making detailed and sometimes complex arrangements and sounds! We all have our way of creating, and a comfort level that goes along with it. I truly appreciate your input, thanks!
The Akai MPC Key 61 is a keeper in my studio setup as well. I mainly use it as a central hub for sequencing, sampling, and audio recording R&B tracks. Although the Akai MPC Key 61 has great internal instruments, a Korg Nautilus 61, Roland Fantom-06, and Yamaha MODX6+ are used for most typical workstation sounds except for drums.
I have the same issue with my X and im glad i found this video, i was gonna buy the 37 and sell my X. After this video i may or may not still go through with it because i mainly use my X as a sound module. I would have to use the akai daw as a plugin in studio one but i find it works better as a sound module.
Agreed. The Key 61 can’t make sounds like the Fantom, Montage, Nautilus, or K2700 but it surely can sample them into a keygroup and get you most of the way there. From there, you can put together some nice music. My favorite pairing is the Key 61 and the Roland Integra 7.
Yo are u running window 11? If so how the plugin's work with it I'm scared to download Windows LBVS 😂😂😂 its feels good to see someone els running window with these music programs because my boyz that do music be talking bad about me for use a Pc and not a mac but he'll i be using PCs all my life i just a pc guy lol u get the same treatment? 😂😂 I luv your videos u got to keep them coming $t8 up 💪🏿💯
Omg that is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 i make beatz as well & rap and i will blaze that track on the vocal tip lbvs!!!! Did u sale it already? It reminds me of some death row hip hop & R&B beat 💪🏿💯
Just from the pictures I’ve seen, it looks nice. I’ll reserve my opinion once I have more information about it. I’m always excited when Akai puts out new products.
I really enjoyed your being very satisfied with the MPC 61. IT helped me to think I made a good discussion of buying it and getting rid of the stuff I no longer use.
Excellent video, I appreciate it, I'd probably keep using my old-school Fantom X6 as my main, but I run most everything from my ancient Mpc60 and then record through ProTools through a few racks of effects - I have a love for the old-school Aiai workflow - but this thing looks very cool 👌
Same here! I paid, got a screen on their site that said to look for my receipt and activation key in email. They charged my credit card. It's been about 11 days now and nothing. I have sent 5 support tickets and nothing! I got an email about the first update so I know they have my address, but nothing about my problem. Thanks for any help.
Thanks for the quick vid, thinking bout gettin g this to isolate vox stems for remixing, might have to get onto it. Subbing to u Junie keen to explore more or your content
Nice! I LOVE building a nice groove on my MPC and exporting the stems over to logic to add that “magic sauce” with native instruments and other plug ins…..
Here's what solved the "Network connection failed" issue on my Mac: Go to System Preferences > Network and turn off Limit IP Address Tracking. (I activated it through Audacity.)
Brother no one who wants the best and will do anything together the best, Reaper is one of the best DAW, you could use even an old keyboard with it and map everything and it will work, but because people love to copy or do as others, but Reaper, you are missing if not using it, although you would need third-party plug-ins. Try REAPER for a month it's even free license, so why go through all the hassles. Cheers
I also have big problems: I keep crashing with my Reaper daw, and every time I start Reaper it asks me for the activation key again. I have written and opened tickets many times, but no response. 🤔
If you have a Mac, here's what solved the issue for me: Go to System Preferences > Network and turn off Limit IP Address Tracking. You can also try activating it from another DAW, like Audacity.
my activation fails. did you also have efforts to active it or did it just go through? for me it says network connection failed. thanks for the video though
Thanks for the video. Do you also have problems with it crashing your DAW or bringing up a 'debug error' 9 out of 10 times. It happens in both Reaper 7 and Cubase 12 on my system. I have contacted their support, but they do not reply. Goyo was working fine.
@@beatswithjunie1698Thanks for your reply. Okay super, that would imply that many users have contacted Supertone and I am sure they are working on an update to solve this issue. By the way, Reaper, Cubase and Studio One are my favorite DAWs, Studio One probably has the sanest workflow, features and user interface of all.
@@starlitefilmproductionsI received a reply from them just now. They say they have received more support requests than expected. They sent me a developer (beta) link to an update.
