just got back to north carolina after 2 weeks in egypt including week on nile the egyptian people i observed dont seem to have a lot in material possessions/luxuries but seem happy enough unlike folks in some other nations who have a lot but are stressed and miserable

At the time of visit, the boat fare was about 15 EGP (~0.5 USD) + tip per person. There is no official price however, if you're not on a tour you will have to negociate it at the harbor directly, after having bought the entrance ticket to the site (which is around 300 EGP).
Not quite sure why the French Republic to this day tolerates a tomb with a baldichin rivaling that in St. Peter's to honor this war monger, who sent millions of men into death in Europe and caused inexcusable losses of women and children wherever the warmonger decided to depredate next. I am not woke. I am just describing what this man did. That such a tomb remains in the center of Paris is a disgrace. Nuff said that Hitler beetled his way to this inglorious tomb to infamy as soon as the Nazis took power in Paris. Mit der Festung „Hohenwerfen“ und der „Feuerkogelseilbahn“ habt ihr erneut zwei Filmstandorte besucht. Dort wurde 1968 der Kriegsfilm „Agenten Sterben Einsam“ oder Original „Where Eagles Dare“ gedreht. Dieser und ähnliche Filme wurden zu meiner Teenger-Zeit recht viele produziert.
da war ich anfangs dr 60er jahre das erste mal zu besuch. mein bruder arbeitete damals bei einem teil der amerikanischen armee die dort stationiert war. ihn habe ich mit meinen eltern besucht. sieht man im umfeld der wunderschönen stadt noch etwas von den ami’s oder sind die ganz abgezogen?
Sofern ich gesehen habe, ganz abgezogen. Wir sind in 2020 während der Covid-Krise durch Bayern gefahren (Romantische Strasse) und bis jetzt leider keine Zeit gehabt, diese Videos zu verarbeiten. Diesen Sommer waren wir kurz wieder in Rothenburg, und die Strassen waren natürlich viel weniger leer...

Mein altes Gehirn hat mich doch noch nicht ganz verlassen. Musste aber erst noch nachlesen. Da steht z.B. bei Filmtourismus Deutschland: Der größte Teil der Karl-May-Filme wurde zwischen 1962 und 1968 in Kroatien gedreht. Dort ritten Winnetou und Old Shatterhand durch die „Prärien und gewaltigen Felsengebirge“ und bestanden ihre Abenteuer. Aus der Zrmanja wurde der „Rio Pecos“ oder der „Colorado“ und aus dem Tulove Grede der „Nugget-tsil“. Danke für das schöne Video
Aaah, das wusste ich natürlich nicht. Und der Krieg war da und hat vieles, das vor den 1990er war, komplett zergelöscht. Jedoch - weiss nicht, ob du davon gehört hast - bekam Kroatien in letzter Zeit wieder ein beträchtliches Interesse von der Filmindustrie (z.B. Games of Thrones,...). Weitere Videos folgen...
