With a 50/50 split between fan and industry, ATX Television Festival is a unique festival event that stems from a true celebration of the medium.
I am so glad that I found Queer as Folk in June 2024! The story of the gay community is so beautifully portrayed by a fabulous cast along with superb writing. I am now a 75 year old widowed grandmother who is so proud of my gay cousin, non binary sibkid transgender grandson and many gay friends. This excellent drama told all their stories with pride, honesty, and integrity. I learned so much about this community which was never even discussed when I was growing up. We need so much more to be shown like Queer As Folk, which told of the love that is so important in everyone's life. I have watched all the episodes on line and I wish they would have kept this excellent drama going, but my sincerest gratitude to all who were involved with Queer as Folks, kudos to you all!
This TV Show reminds me of X-files tv show but not about Aliens but about Supernatural Demons instead. I can't Say this is like Supernatural TV show because that story wasn't about Church but about two brothers fighting incredible odds and even went too far with that show that went forward making God and Angles evil.
Just ran across this post but I love this show. I am embarrassed to admit I didn't watch the show when it was on but having just started streaming it, I am totally addicted.
loved Los Espookys and am desperate for Problemista and Fantasmas, but they aren't available in my region. can't wait to watch them when i find a decent way to do so.
English nerd here. The way you used Macbeth to completely transform the classic to the telling of this amazing tale. There is simply not enough movies or tv with this type of nuance and emotion. I’m from Georgia, so midnight train hit hard. Looking forward to what this team creates next.
I hate and love this show. I hate the person who dresses them. Like they make Kristen wears leather dresses and the coats it all too much. David and Ben wear the same clothes 😂😂 like they forgot who wore what. I hate Cheryl the character sucked. I hate the fact that Kristen's daughters always talk at the same time ALL the time is so annoying that never happens in real life I hate the fact that Ben and Kristen and David all go through their own hard time but never tell each other. They keep it all to themselves
In the 2000s, I was a volunteer board member for a tiny , grassroots Pride Center in a very small city in a rural county, in a red state. I was relatively new to to the rainbow community, having only acknowledged my bisexuality in 1996 at the age of thirty. The Pride Center here very supportive, thanks to our founders, very inclusive of all the letters, in our policy and culture. Even so, one day, standing in the kitchen of the little house that was our Center, I was told by an older gay man that my sexual identity wasn’t real. His tone wasn’t vicious, he just sort of casually told me I didn’t exist. A bit before COVID, at our LGBT coffee gathering, another older gay man made a derisive remark about gay parents, saying he hoped for the end of the “fad” among gay men wanting children. I was stunned. I pointed out that as a man of his generation should know, there have always been gay men who wanted children. If they were able, they married women and had families. I said “I don’t think it’s a fad. I think it’s as simple as some people want children and some people don’t.” I am happy to say those were the only incidents of intra -LGBTQIA+ discrimination in our little community I have personally encountered or heard about. I have heard of LGBTQIA+ communities and even Pride Centers in large metropolitan areas that cannot say the same. We are attacked enough from without, we ought not to tear ourselves down from within.
From season 1 I wanted Ben and Sanvii together their chemistry was amazing. This show was one of my favourite s from when I heard the storyline I had to watch it definitely made me cry so many times I love you all for doing such great work team Mikayla and Vasquez always but the way they ended it made me cry like wow the writers done a spectacular job !!! ❤ my favorite show I wish there was more
I really loved all the actors. Together, they made every episode special. However, (Rick) Lewis played a very colorful character. He's very talented !!
As a musician and a stage hypnotist ..... I would devour Northern Exposure and I absolutely loved all of the episodes. I also had the bonus of being inspired to create my own stage routines of somewhat unconventional situations because of the quirkiness of NE.... currently rewatching the entire series and still loving it!
