China needs as much power as it can get. Nuclear power is a natural fix, but ultimately they need better renewables. I know it sounds like pie in the sky, but in my mind having space based solar power that you can safely transfer to the ground via cable would be the ultimate goal
China has two big problems, and one looming tertiary issue: Power, water, and then to a small degree employment. China needs as much power as they can consume and then some. After that is freshwater. After that, is filling those jobs. There are many ways to tackle this, but they can use solar, wind, and wave platforms to generate renewable power on the coasts, desalinate water, and then either ship that or further split it into hydrogen for energy storage- or just use a cable and store it in molten salt batteries. Once those are met, it needs to focus on its space program
18:04 You'll perhaps be surprised to learn that Mantua is pronounced (by Utahns) as "man-a-way." No idea why. I was born and raised there. But still don't know. Also, virtually everyone in a small town north of there called Wellsville has a THICK southern-ish accent. Utah is just plain weird.
Native Utahn here. I even fell into the whole Mormon cult at the age of 8. But by the time I was 11, I was certain that their mythology was all a bunch of 💩. I stayed in until I was 13, however, as I wanted to get my Eagle Scout. The Mormon church sponsored the BSA at that time. So I bit my tongue until I had my Eagle award in hand. Then said, "So long, suckers!" I lived about 40 years of my life in Utah, off and on. It's a weird place to be sure. The Mormon church is just so intrusive and has such a stranglehold on the local politics. Very frustrating.
I love how they never learn. Is it by design? First they create a monster by financing a deadly communist regime. Now theyre going to prop up a narco state. Good stuff
I dont get it. Why would be allow this? And yes, sound wrong, but when you put into account that they have a number of ALLOWED HAIRCUTS... Cmon... Level that litte piece of land and start all over.
Cool I'll move to Mexico for work and make a future USA have nothing to offer from wealth to health is at bad as it can get plus not including the raise of crime
Was great for people in venuzuala while it was there. Free electricity allowed them to mine bitcoin and have items delivered to their doorstep bypassing all the opressive government manipulation.
My cousin was at Tirana airport in Albania while this was taking place and told it was full of afghans some stopping in Albania as our government and USA created shelters and processing areas for them and some moving to other flights
everyone's saying this video is fair to mormons, but it's very unfair to native americans. L + ratio + ignoring the elephant in the room doesn't make it go away. ESPECIALLY while flashing pictures about westward expansion on screen. saying 'there were only a few natives there already' is really.... like way to do the propagandists' work for them while trying to proclaim being 'unbiased'. you should've just left us out entirely at this rate, would've been more honest.
This video is full of errors and bad reasoning. Exhibit A. France's idea is ban short-haul flights makes no sense. You just price the externality and market will take care of it itself. The value decisions should be left to the customers (market), climate doesn't care if the carbon is produced by airlines, chocolate factories or the cookie monster. There's no need to ban anything. By banning one market, the gov. is trying outsmart the market and might even hurting the end result. For example if electric or other aircraft become popular, destroying the short-hault market, where they'd probably be introduced, would delay carbon reductions. Typical example of stupid regulation. If you truly believe none would use regional flights, you could just use derivatives to put your money where your mouth is. Secondly, no mention of hydrogen. Practically all long haul will go hydrogen in the future. Hydrogen is CO2 emission-free fuel, and with good enough system it can reach very high efficiencies (much better than jet fuel). Whether short-haul will go electric or hydrogen (or hybrid) is debatable. Afaik, there are no eg. 30-seat electric airplanes at all because batteries are just too heavy. Right now it isn't even possible so saying this is the future is a bit misleading. You don't have that problem with hydrogen. Also hydrogen-planes will get lighter as they travel more unlike batteries. Thirdly, flying is like 2% of world's carbon emissions. Majority come from eg. energy production and construction.
Wish this video would have also covered how the founder of Mormonism/Utah kept and sold Indigenous slaves and how Mormonism is extremely abusive towards women and children
I was stationed there twice, 82-83 and 95-96, as an Army Aviator. It’s an amazing country. Flying there, I saw things most never experience. One thing not mentioned is North Korea, if starts a conflict with the South, doesn’t have the logistics (beans and bullets) to support their troops beyond 60 days. After that, they’re toast!
Hm, what I heard in this video almost sounds like somebody who built on somebody else's work, but could not sustain it once it was time to make it instead of just claim it…
