Rancher 1 is so broken but in amusing ways for the most part. All monster rancher games are some degree of jank, but rancher 1 really has that "held together with chewing gum and a wish" aspect to it. Still, I go back to it to raise a Henger with Final Saber and to raise a Magic/Majin since you can't do that in any other rancher game.

Can form affect fatigue and stress? a while ago I heard that if the monster is fat or plump, he will be more fatigued but less stressed. And the opposite for skinny and slim, where the monster will get less fatigue but more stress. is that true?
@@TavinhoGodoy this is true in the advance games to my knowledge but not in monster rancher 2. Form only affects stress and fatigue after a battle. A skinny monster will get less tired and get more stress relief from a fight than a plump mon
Actually there was a game where you scanned barcodes to create monsters. It was called Skannerz. Little hand held thing for kids. ROFL... guess I'm to old.

Just ordered it tonight to scratch the itch for DQ3 HD2D. Any chance they patched or worked on anything by now?? The auto battler aspect sounds interesting and fun.
They did a ton of patches to the game over the first few months. Some of the issues I have with the game are fixed and some have been made more extreme lol. Still a great game, def worth playing for yourself.
Can I unlock Beaclon with any worm or does it need to be a worm/worm? I'm using a worm/naga (all 16) for extra lifespan. Will I still be able to unlock beaclon if I meet the conditions?

@@dunnetahl hey glad you got him unlocked! rolling bomb, punch combo and his basics chains (especially horn attack) are all really good. Flying press is unreliable but fun.
Accidentally did a power Phoenix build alongside high skill and near max int. Made it to S having not lost a single battle. Probably at 3/4 KO rate, Beak alone is enough to one shot low Life/Def while the fire moves makes it feel like it’s the one punch man.
One of the highest points of my gaming life was getting the high score on the Arcade version of SC2 at a boardwalk when I was 14. I played Cassandra and she’s still my main to this day
Blue hair In 2002 me and my sister were able to beat the game with no cheats by maxing out power and speed. Pretty much no monster than can out do a max 1-2 punch. And easy to max life so can take some damage. But max speed is very few monsters in the game that can hit you.
Dude, why does that babby purple Plant card art remind me of Culex from Super Mario RPG 7:09 to 7:20 "Oh no. Your Hare's been exposed to radiation, and a mutated leg has grown out of his stomach. What is the best course of treatment?" ...but really, it really does look janky after you pointed it out.
@@Moosebones Well, I'll keep with the theme and sell the game very poorly, even though I love it. The game is nuzlocke-ish by default. If your monster gets KO'd, it dies. 😄
Question: When in both games, is Monster Rancher 2 info petty similar to 1? I wanted play through some 1 before jumping with 2. Starting out with a Scaler, so it's why I was watching through
@Moosebones cool beans, I got frustrated that I couldn't raise my hares power easily, but your golem guide has been handy. The stone boy us great for slow and steady tournament fights, even if I feel bad about having a less invested work horse. But they tend to be humble critters, so I suppose he probably doesn't mind
