I have a 4 month old Dorkie and I didn't know how to get him from biting, this was the most helpful video I've seen. Straight to the point and no rambling 😊
Double merles are the best looking dog in the world sad that they can come with problems I’ve a double Merle border Collie that lives life to the fullest although he lucky we man because he was born with no sight or hearing defects but he is smartest dog I’ve ever owned
Nice info, but it would be nice to see the entire dog, so you can really see her "down". Perhaps if you did it across from the stairs, it would be visible all the time.
This is not a Kangal. At best it’s a mixed breed dog if it has any Kangal it in. Not that that’s bad or anything just the video says Kangal for click bait
Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ru-vid.comUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
Following your video I got my dog to perform down very quickly but only from a sit position like yours. What about if we need a quick down from a stand position (lets say for competitive obedience)? Also it would be great if you could suggest me any similar way to improve sit speed.. thanks:')
that's great! You can also do a folding down. Practice it the same way. A slow lure then a quick lure. I don't have a video on folding down but if you Google it you'll find one. The feet stay in position, you push into dog with lure, and then reward in down position.
Our methods have changed a bit since this video was published. You start by teaching preheeling, then you layer in the training collar. We no longer teach it in 15 minutes. We take our time to lay a strong foundation first! It works out better in the long run.
Thank you! Check out our free training videos playlist. We have lots of free videos. And stay tuned because we have something else in the works that I think you'll love. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it!
Our 12 week old puppy bites our faces all the time. We keep working with her but she jumps up and bites even when calm. What brand of harness is that? New to your channel.
Thank you for showing this! I think, due to my dog's disposition, that we will do AKC rally before AKC Obedience. Thank you for this lovely demonstration and congrats on that blue ribbon 🤩 (even though it was a long time ago)
Thank you and you're welcome! Good luck! Dog sports are fun. Just be sure to enjoy it and not stress over competitions or winning. The prize you'll always get to go home with is your dog! :)
