Absolutely! If they were just in it for winning the League Cup, no. When you throw in the circumstances of them close to being bust, under threat from the Mercer Merger, the whole Hands Off Hibs campaign, the poor league form featuring a drubbing by Hearts to then be saved by a new owner and league reconstuction, then turn it around, beating Rangers in the Semis of the League Cup to then win the thing is pretty extraordinary. I think your whole idea of it being solely focused on just a League Cup trophy misses the point and the magnitude of a great moment in Scottish football history, after all, we were talking about the loss of two seperate entities of Hearts and Hibs dissapearing potentially.
