The industry needs a massive overhaul we were once respected in the community I feel staff are getting tired of clients abusing them. There are so many at home hair salons and people aren’t even qualified also. I feel the weekly Blowdry almost gone. The training places the delivery has changed the hairdressers aren’t being taught as well. I love my profession. I read a survey on inflation and milk has gone up more than haircuts there’s one problem

You are soooo corect as a x hairdresser i was just saying the same its also the lazy way and the training isn't as it was in the 80s. Love watching your cutting techniques thats the wsy i was trained and my 2 sisters. Well done your an inspiration.
She made a great point about hairdressers and barbers just trying to PR to other hairdressers which has baffled me since the day I started in the industry! So much of the content online seems to be aimed at everyone else in the industry which is great if you’re trying to sell education but that’s surely a really small %! Hardly anyone appears to think ‘how is this going to get me more people in my chair?’

I’m currently a training hairdresser and I help out a lot with the social media in the salon I’m at and that’s the one thing my boss and one of the managers stresses to me so much and I get it now to be honest! I follow all of that content because I’m a hairdresser, but clients won’t be interested in that. Although - processing tutorials/videos on Instagram Reels is trending a lot right now, no need for formulas though!
@@babyel286 great that you’ve realised this! Will also massively help your own channels as well! Also remember that what we think as basic because we’re in the industry and take as second nature not every client knows so even super simple things can be really helpful!
