I love how simple and easy your video is yet very informative. I appreciate that. I'm actually going to Myrtle Beach tomorrow and I'm going to fish off of a pier what size hook would you recommend? I'm used to using larger hooks for catfish here in Virginia. Stay larger? Or smaller?
Well they say that squid and live shrimp are some of the number one baits to use. But I also don't want to catch bluegill, I'm not expecting to catch a king mackerel off the pier but I would like a decent sized fish so would a smaller hook affect that?
@@johnc5872 not to much! If you wanting to target upper slot fish, the squid will still hold on the 3/0 4/0! You may deal with some scavengers not getting hooked is all!

Lousiana has changed the limits again isn't even worth going down any more we have never caught one less then 32 lagest was 43 we actually eat what we catch now the licenses the room & bait over $100 cost per fish with the 2 of us
@@dianevanderpool9495 we don’t eat them up here. These are all trophy fish so mandatory release unless they’re in slot which is much smaller up north but a fun time nonetheless!
