I bought my first bike in February of 2020 and fell in love. I'm out riding around just about every day. So I figured why not start creating some content and vlogging. Tons of content to come so I hope y'all stick around and enjoy what you see!
Well first off it was nothing but clear skies just before this happened. I was almost home when it started pouring. Second, I could see just fine tint wise. I can wear this tinted visor at night and be fine. It's not that dark compared to other tinted visors I have. Third, the only reason I didn't see the pothole was because it was filled with water and there was a car right in front of me. So I basically had no time to react because of that. Only way I would've avoided it is if I was in a different lane position.
@@WillBeOn2Wheels why you should always check the weather! Plan your journeys/rides!! Always carry a clear visor that fits snug in my jacket around the contour of my body! Just a suggestion🤙🏻
@@user-bi1ue1qp3x lol I appreciate the suggestion but I’m fine. Again, I don't/ didn't need a clear visor. It would not have helped. I did check the weather app and it lied. I was 5 minutes too late even though it wasn't supposed to rain for another hour.

The simple fact is, it's looks and is stupid. You have an amazing looking bike but add something so ridiculous, unsafe, narrows your vison, and must be a nightmare at higher speeds. Why bother.
Ok that is your opinion. Like I said the most important opinion is mine. I think it looks dope! So I can care less if someone else hates it or thinks its stupid. I buy what I like. Also, I most people love it. It's honestly not that bad at high speeds but I’m not putting this helmet on if I’m out going for an aggressive ride. I’m going to wear one of my other full face helmets. Its just a talking piece. I have 0 regrets with my purchase.

Have an RC390 W/ a seat height of 31.5". Am on tip toes on this bike. Think the 1390 is about 33" so think that beast may be too tall for me. Phenomenal bike w/ adjustable wheely control! Love it! Already have the orange riding gear!😊
Does it have a 12v outlet to charge phones for the quadlock? I have a mt09 right now and Im planning to upgrade to the superduke soon. Congrats on the bike
It has a usb-c port on the side of the screen but you can connect whatever you need. There are two accessory ports (one in the front under the side panel and one under the seat. I use quad lock and just have a tiny charging cable that plugs into my phone
@@WillBeOn2Wheels just wrap the frame, easy to install on the straight sections of tube and easily reversible. My 1390 didn't go 10 miles before bricking itself 💔.. electronic steering lock fault, bike won't turn on, dealership can't get it to turn on. Re-flashed ECU, reprogrammed key fobs, changed batteries in fob & bike, cleared codes etc... Nada
I have a 1290R Evo. These bikes are so practical and yet so INSANELY INTENSE depending on your mood, it's amazing. It's like riding an elephant that is content to lumber along but goes fucking berzerk and destroys villages when its blood heats up. Wicked bikes, so much fun and so willing to do whatever it is you want to do. Congrats.
I don't understand the speaker. surely you can't hear any music from it when riding ? especially with a full Akra and the wind noise and ear plugs. did you say you don't like the music via intercom systems directly in your helmet ? Lovely spec on the bike though :D
Thanks. The speaker is plenty loud with my current set up now. I do not have the full akra yet, just a dominator slip on. I also don't wear any ear plugs. I can hear it good even when I’m on the highway going 60mph. The only time it gets hard to hear is if its just crazy windy or I’m going 80+ on the highway. If the full akra is crazy loud to where it drowns out the speaker then I'll take it off and get a coms system. I just like the speaker better since I can hear my surroundings better than when I put in headphones. But when I get the full akra I'll test it out and see what works best.
I thought about getting the RS22 system with the pie cuts but it was like 5k. Then I would have to find someone to install it for me. So I decided to save the money and go with the akra. Plus I got 15% off, tax free, and free install. Then it comes with the akra map. All in I only paid like $2200 or something around there. Easy choice imo.
Lower the front view camera, I'm interested in bike view not upward road view while riding. And I hope you will get rid of those rear blinkers. They look like hand grips for toddlers
Bro if you can make a custom seat, make a custom tail tidy. Took me about 3 hours and was maybe $20 in parts. Curious how you like the Akro system, im thinking of doing the same.
True. I'll look into making my own. Yeah I went with the arka system since it was cheaper than the of the full AR system. Just waiting on it to get to the dealer so I can get it put on. I’m curious to see how the akra map changes the bike.
@@neil_nash I figured id just get the akra map from the dealership and see how that is. Then after some time I might take it to get a custom map. Not really sure yet.

Im getting my 1290 any day now :) Had a 990 before and that one was sweeet, but the new one is another level!! EDIT, and the same hight as me, but i have never had any problems with any of my my KTM:s, dirtbikes, electric or the dukes.
Sweet bike dude. I like the headlight design, it's cool. There's one aspect that I wish they tweaked a little bit, which is the white LED strips surrounding the headlight. I wish they came amber, like the marker lights on a Ford Raptor. Have you ever thought of just adding amber tint to those lights? It would be an easy DIY. If they didn't look good, you could peel it off. But if they look like how I'm picturing it. Then it would be badass with the touch of unique that is more suited to KTM look.
No but I watched all the reviews and went and sat on one. I'm sure I would enjoy the ZH2 but imo the KTM is a better bike for me. I do love the sound of that supercharged engine though, wish the SDR had a whistle like that lol. But I like how light and powerful the SDR is. Plus the ergo's fit me better than the ZH2. I also think the SDR looks 10x better than the ZH2. That's just my personal preference though. I’m sure its the perfect bike for someone else.
@@kellycorrigan307 I’m mean I was fine on the ZH2 since its still a naked bike. Like I said I didn't have an issue with the zh2, it's just that I like the 1390's ergo better imo. 2 inches in height is a big difference with motorcycles. Plus my arm/leg length is much different than yours. But I do think the zh2 is a sick bike. Just beefy lol

@@kmfiz Yeah I mean it's already a $21k+ bike, what's another $1k lol I feel like if they would have just bumped msrp up and "included" it in the price from the start, then I feel like nobody would have had an issue.
If you have the extra money to spend then I’d suggest doing it. Only reason I would say get non evo is if you are making it your track bike. Then I would say manual suspension dialed in would be better and save you money. This is my daily bike so evo was the way to go for me. Worth the extra money. Also the US didn’t get the standard version even though I would’ve bought the evo either way
That's a pretty scary bike to learn wheelies on lol. Maybe try a dual sport or dirt bike first before you wreck your baby. Congrats man. I had a 1290 and i miss it so badly. 1390 coming soon
Yeah definitely not going to learn on this, way too powerful lol. I want to find a place that teaches wheelies on a smaller bike that they provide. Yeah the superduke is just a crazy fun bike. Hopefully you get the 1390 soon!
Lucky. I put a deposit on mine in December also. Got called last Thursday. Went to pick it up on Friday and was told that KTM sent a note to the dealer they can’t release the bike because the EPA has not approved it yet. Hopefully they get it resolved soon.
Yeah, the dealer told me the same thing at first. So they had to call KTM and talk to them for a bit to get the approval to unlock the bike so I could pick it up. I’m sure the EPA will be handled soon. I’m sure you are going to love the bike! It's truly a beast! I've got like 150 more miles to go for first service in order to get the limiter off the bike. I can't wait. Then all I'll be waiting on is the Full Titanium Akra to get here. Hopefully it is approved and comes in early. July is far away lol

@@WillBeOn2Wheels I feel the same about the Ducati Hypermotard 950sp I bought this year. I was looking at the KTM 1390 R Evo first but it was honestly too much bike for me right now… one day I hope to get one. Enjoy!
Did you consider the Austin Racing RS2 system? I have the option of purchasing the M1000R without interest, so that would save me 10k over 6y compared to the KTM. I might go try test ride em in 2 weeks time, myb that'll help me decide.
Yes, I looked at the RS2 and RS22 AR systems but they were way more expensive, about double the price before import fee's and paying someone to install it for me. I got the akra with a discount, no tax, and the dealer is installing it for free. I was really leaning towards the M1000R because of how nice it looks with the competition pack but it has all its power high up in the revs. Way less character than the KTM I heard. Plus they wouldn't let me test ride it at my local dealership since it was so limited. So I can't really give you any advice on that bike. I don't think you can go wrong with either but it just depends on the type of riding you do. I think the M1000R will be my next bike in a year or two. Unless something new comes out that is better.
@@WillBeOn2Wheels Thanks for the reply! I just got news that someone has totaled the M1000R.. So I won't be able to test ride it..anywhere in the country for the moment.. Unreal. Yeah, I've understood the same. The "fun" begins way later and by then you'll be doing illegal speeds and the bike "lacks" character. The only upside I see BMW's app and the information you get out of it compared to the KTM. I really wanted to test ride it, because the bar supposedly has some major vibrations and the steering dampener sort of sucks, the bike has some instability at higher speeds. Do you think you'll get tired of the SDR that fast? :D
Dang that sucks! I wish I couldve test riden the M1000R just to get a comparison to the KTM. I feel like you can listen to other people's reviews all day but you won't truly know if the bike is right for you until you actually get take it out for a ride. Yeah I heard it had quite a bit of vibes too. I mean it is a 200hp naked bike so I would expect some vibes and instability at high speed. I am definitely going to upgrade the damper on the ktm but I don't expect it to be as stable as a bike with a windscreen and full fairings. I'll take comfort over super high speed stability all day but thats just me. The only thing that would make me get rid of the ktm is if it started having all sorts of issues. My goal is to keep all the bikes I add to my collection over the next several years. So when/if I get the M1000R I'd still keep the KTM. Especially since they have two totally different styles. @@tsarnevits
