I can’t recommend Kate’s Employment course enough! My employer moved states after 17 years. I didn’t want to move from the coast to Sydney. I did the course & changed industries which I wasn’t sure I could. I landed my first interview! I just love my job. Thanks Kate. 💜🌸
Mam, I noticed you're into content creation. If you need a hand with editing, I'd love to help out. Just let me know if you're interested! I will send my portfolio.
Wow wonderful video. All the videos on your channel are fantastic. But your video views are lower. Because your optimization is very poor. Your optimization needs to improve as soon as possible.,...................

Yeah, but how do you side step this if you legit don't have any references... My last job I worked 12 hour shifts 6 days a week. The turn over was huge. Worked their for 9 years... From bosses to co-workers, my place just shat out workers. I don't have a single freaking clue what to do...
I would suggest any previous Managers you had in this role that would give you a positive reference. They don't have to be still currently working for the organisation.
This video was a godsent. I'm almost 44 and was recently let go of my job of almost 12 years. Wore very many hats while there and now in the job market with way so many things that I feel like I'm "not ready" or maybe super qualified, but at the same time, seem like they'd be awesome to pursue. Praying for the right opportunity.
What if if its a friend, family memeber or friend of family that I've done work for? For example, I've done computer work for my dad's friend, and he's up for being a reference.
I’m feeling this! I am 21 and I’ve worked for a grocery store for 5 years. I am currently going to college and my manager is not taking it well. She constantly makes me feel guilty and questions me (like “are you still happy with your decisions?”) I’m beyond happy. I’ve worked so hard to save for tuition, I’m getting good grades, receiving bursaries and opportunities for growth after I graduate. She told me that she feels betrayed. It’s so hard to feel proud of how far I’ve gotten and get excited about where I will go when I watch my coworkers struggle.
Hey Emily this is certainly not a supportive workplace. If you need help to move into a new role while you study, my team can assist with this :) here is the link to book a FREE 20min call to chat about how we can help www.katelangford.com.au/book-appointment/
Where do I look out of seek? Also does age matter? I’m finding it harder to get to the interview stage and if I do seems they are employing younger cohorts.
Hey Katrina we have training in our packages to help with getting off of seek and techniques to combat ageism. You can book a FREE 20 min call with us to chat about your situation and our services www.katelangford.com.au/book-appointment/
Seek is overloaded with applicants. I have many videos on this. Best to get off seek and use more effective job search strategies :) You can book a free 20 min call to chat about how we can help with this www.katelangford.com.au/book-appointment/
In my case, a lot of my comparison to others comes to being told they love my resume, that I've interviewed really well, but told that other candidates "had more experience in X" so, naturally, that's knocked my self esteem and I go "why the heck even bother unless I meet every single criterion? They want someone who's done exactly that same job. I've been told in interview that I don't have the experience, so how I am I going to get it without studying. They ALL ask for tons of ridiculous software...how can I prove it without a piece of paper, if I haven't done it?
Yes! And I am in another CAP right now which really left the career blueprint up to me and I have no idea how to navigate what I want. I’m stuck.. still.. in another CAP. I need HELP!
