Most everything here is from the NS Harrisburg Division - the greater Harrisburg, PA area. Plenty here to look at so sit back, enjoy the uploads! Hope you enjoy the channel! AND A UPDATE: It has been awhile since I spent any time trackside. In fact, the last time was in Aug of 2021 when I spent a few days in Minot, ND to visit our new great-grandaughter. In Dec of 2021 I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. After many scans, I was put on Chemo in Feb of 2022. I had a lesion on the lung and the liver. The most recent scan shows the lesion on the liver is mostly gone, and the one on the lung has decreased in size considerbly. We decided to take another trip west to see the granddaughter and great granddaughter, as I don't know what my future holds. If you haven't already, like and subscribe to to my channel. I have not set up a go fund me, but medical bills were high. Every little bit helps.
I think we used to sled near there. Someone had farmland, and all the kids in town were allowed to come use their hill. Usually at night. 1974ish. I went to Jacksonville elementary. Walnut bottom-Carlisle always felt strange to me. We moved in 1977, back to Mechanicsburg.
My old employer at a fabrication yard had an 1982 American 5030 (?) similar to this. We had a 70ft boom on it. This crane sounds exactly like our crane sounded. We also had (3) American 830DE's from the mid-1950s and early 1960s. All were workhorses! We used them to move steel from the steel inventory and unloading trucks, rail cars, and steel barges.
The cruelest show on earth, wake up everybody, circus animals are not treated with kindness but utter cruelty with bull hooks, it looks good for the cameras, boycott, these poor creatures are tied up with chains all day, they do not belong in circuses.
