Providing information about rare and extinct animals and spreading awareness to preserve what is left with us. Helping to spread knowledge about past and current fauna and how can we slow or stop the process of extinction among current populations of animals. Spreading words about the natural beauty of this earth and animal rights to live and coexist with human beings. Remember, Extinction is forever!
Once again, heresay and shoddy research as far as the American lion and Smilodon are concerned. Why do people insist on making the American lion much bigger than it actually was?
So so sad. I agree with comments. But also many more species are found. But extinction of any kind is so so sad. This world is heading in a tragic way. Our oceans are a MAJOR example. 😢
Most of the Middle Eastern countries has killed off most of their Animal Species, since their belief that animals are there to hunt and kill. They have yet to make the connection between animals and an ecosystem hence the reality of their countries becoming deserts.
There are known to be three species of donkey: the Kiang (Equus (Asinus) kiang), the Onager (Equus (Asinus) hemionus), and the Perdjie (Equus (Asinus) africanus (cladistically including the Domestic Donkey (Equus (Asinus) africanus domesticus))).
Hopefully they find a frozen Neanderthal one day. That will be cool and very interesting. See what they wore what they looked like and what artifacts they carried.
You got the scientific names of the golden jackal, indian wolf, himalayan wolf, bengal fox, and tibetan fox completely wrong, their correct scientific names are actually Prolupus aureus, Canis pallipes pallipes, Canis lupus filchneri, Fennecus bengalensis, and Neocyon ferrilatus respectively.
No I am not, there are now forty-five extant dog species under twenty genera, thus making them the largest and most diverse extant family of the suborder Caniformia, the forty-five extant dog species are the Grey Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus), the Channel Island Fox (Urocyon littoralis), the Short-Eared Jackal (Atelocynus microtis), the Bushdog (Speothos venaticus), the Maned Wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus), the Pampas Fox (Bassarilupus gymnocercus), the Sechuran Fox (Bassarilupus sechurae), the Culpeo (Pseudalopex culpaeus), the Hoary Fox (Pseudalopex vetulus), the Chilla (Lycalopex griseus), the Darwin's Fox (Lycalopex fulvipes), the Crab-Eating Fox (Cerdocyon thous), the Eurasian Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes), the American Red Fox (Vulpes fulva), the African Red Fox (Vulpes barbara), the Tibetan Fox (Neocyon ferrilatus), the Corsac Fox (Alopex corsac), the Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus), the Swift Fox (Alopex velox), the Kit Fox (Alopex macrotis), the Bengal Fox (Fennecus bengalensis), the Blanford's Fox (Fennecus canus), the Ruppell's Fox (Fennecus rueppellii), the Fennec Fox (Fennecus zerda), the Pale Fox (Fennecus pallidus), the Cape Fox (Fennecus chama), the Bat-Eared Fox (Otocyon megalotis), the Chinese Raccoon Dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides), the Japanese Raccoon Dog (Nyctereutes viverrinus), the Side-Striped Jackal (Lupulella adusta), the Black-Backed Jackal (Lupulella mesomelas), the African Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus), the Ethiopian Golden Wolf (Flavocyon simensis), the Common Golden Wolf (Flavocyon lupaster), the Dhole (Cuon alpinus), the Golden Jackal (Prolupus aureus), the Coyote (Prolupus latrans), the Grey Wolf (Canis lupus (cladistically including the Domestic Dog (Canis lupus familiaris))), the White Wolf (Canis albus), the Sea Wolf (Canis crassodon), the Eastern Wolf (Canis lycaon), the Red Wolf (Canis rufus), the Pale-Footed Wolf (Canis pallipes), the New Guinea Singing Dog (Canis hallstromi), and the Dingo (Canis dingo).
@@indyreno2933 Even if the changing of scientific names is true it is still not published/accepted (at least widely). Send me the link of the publication.
@ExtinctionTalesOfForgotten1, changing scientific names is actually both true and widely accepted, hence the reason why there are new genera, in fact, many genera are now being rendered as polyphyletic, especially because of how different they look superficially from one another, in fact, many mammalian genera are being heavily reduced due to their polyphyly, which is why the Canis genus for example is being rendered as polyphyletic multiple times, the genus is now restricted to only the grey wolf and extant species that used to be conspecific with it, whereas those that were never ever conspecific with it are now removed from the Canis genus, even a majority of extinct dog species are also being removed from the Canis genus.
I really love India , because of its nature. It's one of the countries with most diverse nature . It literally has deserts ,grasslands , mountains, forests ,deep jungles ,rainforests etc. And it has amazing animals - elephants, rhinos, gaurs, tigers, lions, leopards, snow leopards, lynxes, caracals, clouded leopards, striped hyenas,4 species of bear ,so many species of canids, monkeys, deer, small cats, birds, reptiles .... It has so many endangered animals and the sad thing is that the country is full of polluted rivers ,cities, poor urbanisation, poor people with poor lifestyle even though they have an amazing culture. And the most developed countries aren't that diverse in nature aspects.
